I love the scene where Matt is in the hall and he turns and coming down the hall appears to be Wilson Fisk.

Makes me think this might be their first encounter.

Man, I never thought of Dominic West as Frank Castle, but that could have been great. Instead, we got him as Jigsaw in a Punisher movie so bad that it was like watching an ultraviolent Batman & Robin.

West would probably steer clear of CBMs after that, though I think he could make a great Hal Jordan in the JL movie.

somehow the trailer has been made even better

Man, I forgot the cardinal sin about the Daredevil movie. It wasn't the costume (which I actually liked), the actors' performances, the terrible script, the crappy CGI, or the bad direction.

It was the fact that it unleashed Evanescence upon the world.

Do, people think that the trailer shows things just from the first few episodes or that it even shows occurrences that will happen later in the show. I kind of feel like what we see in the trailer is very early on in the show, and if true it gives me hope they will transform him into the Red costume long before the shows season ends.

Regarding the TV-MA rating, I'm probably/maybe/likely in the minority, and I do trust Marvel - I really do (the MCU hasn't let me down yet). I just hope that whatever it is that's making it TV-MA (I'm assuming it's probably more the violence and maybe language side of things/maybe not so much the sexual content?) is there for a reason and not gratuitous/'let's throw it in simply because we can'. Does that make sense? I mean I'll still watch it, but I admit that the MA rating does make me a *tad* more cautious. I still want it to feel like it meets the standards that the rest of the MCU has given us.

That is of course, just my personal opinion (and I know it's one that not everyone will agree with). And sorry if it didn't make sense.

Itll be fun to see how Vincent D plays Kingpin. If hes real calm and calculated or more loud and boisterous.

No, I agree with you. And I'm normally all for a product showing me more. "Banshee" is one of my faves. But I want "Daredevil" to still feel in line with the rest of the MCU, just with an edge.

it looks like an art gallergy and fisk seems to be wearing the same color suit as the shot in the trailer. looks like matt definitely overheard something and is turning around to see who said it.

I'm sure it will. I think the rating maybe just for the violence. Even in the trailer I think that bloody stabbing victim is probably the goriest thing we'll see. And is probably the goriest thing in the marvel cinematic universe, with the propeller death in the First Avenger as a close second.

Also, I hope the fight scenes are as well choreographed as the ones in Banshee.

What are shows like CSI or Law & Order usually rated as?

In regards to the rating I highly doubt Marvel went out there way to make an MA show, if it is indeed that, as I said I looked at it on Netflix and it had G, so I don't think the rating is confirmed MA. But they made a show they wanted to make and it got rated, I don't think they are going to try and shock people with blood and gore.

Depends on the episode. I *think* (though I admit I could be wrong) CSI has ranged from TV14 with every now and then an episode hitting a TVMA. Law & Order, probably depends which L&O you're talking about. I don't think any of the original series went past TV14 (at least, once episodes started getting rated). I imagine L&O:SVU might go more harsh (but frankly, I don't watch that show). I think L&O:Criminal Intent never went above a TV14.

It shows as TV-MA on the show's page for me: http://www.netflix.com/WiMovie/80018294

It's possible that TV-MA is a placeholder rating, just like the May 1 date the show had before the confirmed date.

Best fights around!

What kind of action does banshee have? I have heard good things about the show but never bothered to give it a look.

From the looks of things in the trailer DD is still very new at this. I doubt we'll see him swinging from rooftops and doing the insane martial arts moves he pulls off on the regular in the comics until the tail end of the season, if that.

Trailer again :)

I'm pretty sure that the scene with Karen Page crouching over that bloodied dead body is quite standard in all of the CSI shows. I've seen that sort of thing numerous times before or in other procedurals.

Criminal Intent definitely had adult themes, but maybe didn't necessarily show a bloody murder.

Hard hitting, gritty, fist fights. If you've seen The Raid, its pretty similar. I don't want DD to be as gory as the fights in Banshee, but they're SO good.

A two weeks ago they had a insane fight scene. Probably the best, most brutal fight of the series, with a legitimate shocking outcome.

Yep. I'd also add that there are plenty of fight scenes. At least one per episode as our "hero" is quite the brawler. What's also distinctive is the length of all the fights. They go on and on but are never boring. Think THEY LIVE. The fight Bill just alluded to was a Top Television Moment. I would rank it up there with a certain (in)famous "Game of Thrones" fight.

But yes, they are very, VERY gory with a nice mix of practical and CGI effects. Definitely too gory for "Daredevil" but the choreography would be most welcome.

They Live is a perfect example. Also that fight has to be the best fight I've seen in a TV show. I literally paused the episode, found the clip online, and re-watched it immediately afterword.

And the GoT fight you're talking about is another great example. I think what is important for a good fight scene, and what I want to see in DareDevil, is I want to CARE about the fights outcome, I want to be in anticipation for when the fight is coming.

I'm sure in Banshee that Hood wont be killed in a fight, he's the main after all. But they build up the "villains" in such away, that I'm either going "Don't do it Hood! You have no chance!" or "Kick his ass!"

Again, there are almost no restrictions on violence anywhere on primetime American tv. The tv-MA rating is ubiquitous on basic cable as well as network shows like Hannibal. It's just not an issue anymore. Show part of a nipple though and mass hysteria ensues.

My guess is the rating , if it holds, is due to pervasive slightly bloody violence (punches/kicks/batons to the face mostly), adult themes and the occasional "s-word". Anyone expecting boobs or f bombs will be disappointed.

Plus, the use of drugs and alcohol plays a factor. If they fallow Man Without Fear closely he could be busting up a Child Porn ring. Which is pretty much what you'd see in Law and Order SVU.

I would be shocked if they show anyone in the act of smoking snorting or shooting anything.

Although, if they do the Karen Page storyline where she sells DD's identity to the Kingpin, should they show anything if she turns to porn/ prostitution? Is that too dark even for this show? But if it's TV-MA, is anything too dark?

Really liked the tone of the trailer, looks like it'll be a lot bloodier than Marvel's recent films.
