The Battle of New York and devastation mainly happened in Midtown. Any Chitauri that try to go outside that area were taken out by Iron Man or Thor.

Hell's Kitchen is immediately west of Midtown, so it's probably one of the only neighborhoods directly effected by the battle.

Not only would it have to rebuild from the physical damage, but also in it's inhabitants.

I assume all the hipsters and "yuppies" had to relocat, then the criminals and lowest common denominator moved in.

Now that's just Hell's Kitchen, we don't know about the rest of the city.
We'll probably find out with the other Netflix series and Spider-Man

Awesome trailer. Can't wait for the show. I think my favorite aspect was how it showed Kingpin in a more sympathetic, Tony Soprano type of light. Yeah, he's still a real bad guy but he has hidden depths to him. He's not a cartoon character. You could almost have this exchange:

Daredevil: "I'm just trying to make my city a better place."

Kingpin: "So am I."

There's also the fact that, from the looks of it, Matt may be almost as brutal/hardcore as Fisk is. So with that, the priest's comment about "one man's evil doesn't make you good," Matt's comments about how the line between good and evil not always being clear, and both him and Fisk wanting to "save their city" in their own ways, the show definitely seems to be drawing parallels between them. "Are they really all that different" will probably be a major question that this show will explore.

I'm in love with the trailer. The parallels between Fisk and Murdock are already being drawn and I was surprised to see the hand in there! I wonder if the connection between Stick and the hand will be explored.

No offence to Arrow, but it literally just has models as actors, it's a CW show and will never have the budget, the acting talent, the crew talent.

I don't watch it anymore, but I appreciate it for what it is, and it pushes its limits really well.

But this right here is another league.

IMDB lists John Patrick Hayden as Jack Murdock and a few more sources seem to agree so it seems that is the case.

this show will be a thing of beauty. The trailer is one of the best I've seen in ages. D'onofrio as the kingpin will kill it. Cox seems amazing as matt/DD. I liked foggy's lines too, and how he will bring some light in this world. It's not fair to compare this show to arrow though. I really like arrow, but Daredevil is obviously something you compare to movies. It's basically a 13 hours movies, it's not really a tv show.

This is before AoU, not to mention I don't even think Ultron attacks New York, it's Sokovia and South Korea and South Africa that look like they will be destroyed.

Yea I guess your right. Tbh it was just the first headline that came to mind. I didn't put much thought into it.

"Government continues to hunt Hydra cells"
"Stark enterprises donates to childrens charity" ... etc
