If they really want the reveal to happen in the show then I hope they get it that way, I don't mind it.

I'm trying to think of it in terms of, "What if that first Iron Man film had been stretched out to 13 hours? At what point in the narrative would we get to the point where he dons the red/gold armor for the first time to defend the Middle-Eastern village? Episode 8 or 9?" That seems like a reasonable point to expect him to upgrade costumes.

Keep in mind that they also managed to pay tribute to the comics version of the mark 2 'golden' armor without actually making it. Don't be surprised if something similar occurs with regards to DD's original red and yellow outfit, though I expect it to be a brief tribute as well before getting to the all red costume.

I'm still guessing that Wilson Fisk blackmailing Melvin Potter back into a life of crime which brings him into conflict with Daredevil will be a subplot running through a few episodes, and it'll be at the resolution of that when Potter makes Daredevil his red costume as a token of gratitude. The question is just how long it'll take for that plot thread to resolve.

I dig the slow burn into the classic (or near classic) duds. I'm perfectly happy to wait until the actual episodes to see it. In fact, I hope Marvel doesn't reveal it and I may just take a break from the DD forum until I can watch the entire series and enjoy the revelation unspoiled. That would be nice.

Honestly, at this point, I think I'll be slightly disappointed if Marvel DOES reveal it before the release. We've gone this long without seeing it and we're so close now, might as well get the full effect of the reveal in the show.

You want Daredevil to run around in a leather jacket with his DD logo on it and then when he goes full-costume, we only see few shots of his head interspersed with far away shots of a CGI cartoon body?

Well, this could be totally wrong, but according to IMDB, actor Matt Gerald, who plays Potter, only appears in episodes 8, 11 and 13. So I would say the absolute earliest we see the red suit is episode 11, if that's accurate.

Yeah, I could see in the trailer, based on screenshots, that there's more than one black costume.

No, that was in the first episode of Smallville.

They'll wait until the last episode then show him from a distance in CGI only, but in close up, it will be DD without his mask, but showing his costume from the neck upwards.

I too am hoping that we don't see any of the red costume before the show premiers. That'd be the first time I actually had to wait to see a movie, before seeing the hero's costume. lol
