Oh I didn't mean it's not clear he has advanced senses but there are people like that in the world and blind people who can use a sort of echolocation what I meant was they seem to have done away with an obvious at any rate radar sense which especially in the film was a bit overkill.

I agree his Blindness has left his other senses in a advanced state and all, but for me some of the fight scenes would require him to have more then advanced hearing I feel to know where to land a punch. I mean you have a stealthy character like the Hand Ninja that probably makes no noise what so ever, then what? So, for me yeah he is focusing and it is subtle in it's use, but I still think it is their depiction of his Radar sense not hearing. I definitely could be wrong though. Probably the best person to ask would be the Vile One having seen more then just Trailers and TV. spots, he might have a better idea as to if it is clear on the type of sense being used to do the focusing. Other then that we will probably need to wait.

I just read something about an L.A premiere tonight. What's that about?

Yeah, someone had mentioned it on here about a week back, but when I asked for more details about what it was I got no replies. So, not sure if no one knows the answer or there were just more interesting things being discussed. But yeah, I would like to know also.

I thought perhaps it was a cast and crew screening with all 13 episodes at like the Grauman's Chinese Theatre or something, but that would be a very long screening. So, probably it is something similar to a premier red carpet event for movies, but they will probably limit what is shown to a couple episodes. At least that is what I am thinking, but if anyone knows for sure that would be great.

Surfer

Yeah I think so too. Marvel's Daredevil on facebook posted about it and they will apparently do a live coverage, on twitter it seems.

at the DAREDEVIL junket today. Seems like other reporters here also thought show was great. Can't wait to watch the final 8 episodes.

I don't like the radar sense being its own "power," like it's been shown recently. Even in the Waid run.

I've always preferred it being a byproduct of echolocation and his feeling of air pressure and temperature. A sonar sense is more accurate with how I like it to be portrayed.

Also, he just posted a interview of Steven De Knight where they ask about Daredevil Season 2.

I thought there was a DD Season 2 already planned. Not sure why I thought that. I really hope this isnt the only DD we'll see.

Well Sonar and Radar both use echolocation and they operate pretty identically except Sonar uses sound where as Radar uses electromagnetic radio waves. Now I realize people might prefer if sound is used with Daredevil as it would seem more natural for a blind person to have enhanced abilities with hearing, after all hearing is one of our 5 senses. However, with Matt getting chemicals splashed in his eyes and face as a kid I don't think it is too big of a stretch to think it might have altered him in a way that he can now use electromagnetic radio waves to detect things versus sound. Sure they are trying to make things a little more grounded with Daredevil, but this is still a world with Green Monsters, Aliens and Super Soldiers, so making it Radar instead of Sonar really is not that big of a leap keeping in mind the world he lives in. The question would then be okay it might be possible to make the Sonar into Radar and convince the audience that it seems plausible, but then the question becomes why bother with them being so similar. Well sound / Sonar would require the individual with the ability "Matt" to create the sound that would then bounce off things and reflect back to him so he can understand the position of things. So what is he going to do walk around humming all the time so noises can bounce off of things and return to him? That would seem silly. Radio waves are a spectrum that is beyond human perception and we require machines to detect that they exist. Therefore, it does not require the individual with the power to do anything within our perception like making a sound to get the impression that something has been transmitted and received. Although for presentation purposes it could look exactly like a person being focused on while everything else around him becomes blurry.

In any case I am sure it will be awesome, but to me nothing I have seen so far discounts radar in favor of sonar as a matter of fact I would say the opposite, but that is how I see it.

No Daredevil Season 2 has not been confirmed yet, but it is nice to see that Steven De Knight seems interested in continuing the series.

I doubt that is even in the realm of possibility at this point. We're going to see him in the Defenders regardless, and considering how critical of a success it is for Netflix(who have renewed every original series so far despite lack of critical success), and Marvel who have a huge plan for Hell's Kitchen... I foresee many seasons to come.

Would be very cool if Netflix organised a crew to produce a second season of Daredevil, outside of the initial deal, before the Defenders hits

Apart from that one guy sitting there baffled by everyone :loco:

I'm so hyped for Daredevil, I'm even excited about the groanworthy waves of "42 Reasons Why Matt Murdock is Everything!" Buzzfeed articles that we usually get assaulted with in the wake of a TV show taking off and becoming a hit.

It’s everything Nolan’s Batman never had time to explore, everything Arrow wants to be without network boundaries, and exactly the street-level drama Marvel needs to complete its superhero world.

That's what I like to hear.

No, I can wait I am a pretty patient person. I am just surprised is all. Every review made it sound like they went for this black darker costume, and while I get that was what the press got in the first 5 episodes none of the other reviews seemed to allude to the fact that we would eventually be getting the red suit as the opening scene credits suggest. Also, no one made mention as to if the red costume looks awesome, good, bad or whatever, but perhaps part of that is due to the image being somewhat unclear in the intro due to the mist you explained. One question I do have though is the Red Costume clearer in the intro then what we get in the reflection of the full motion poster, and did you like what you were able to make out from it?

Surfer

The problem is Surfer, it is an animated rear over the shoulder look at the costume, and it's done in like an animated CG red, blood-like paint. It's not an actual image of the real suit.

Thanks for the explanation. I guess at least this way you will be surprised as well.
