I just hope we can get a season 2 next year, and won't have to wait until after The Defenders.

Nah, I'm thinking it'll likely be 2017 at the earliest. It's not so bad. If we're really thinking of this as less a TV series than a 13-hour movie, then a 2-hour turnaround for a movie is pretty decent.

Well other Netflix shows have a year's turn around time.

Yeah, but the producers of other Netflix shows aren't simultaneously also producing and funding 3 other ambitious shows leading to an even more ambitious 4th crossover show.

I think we'll get season 2 next year if it's a hit. Waiting 2 years doesn't seem like good business, especially when you'd have a cast and crew waiting around; when they'd want to do new things. Strike while the iron is hot.

not sure if this has been posted yet but if you have a Netflix accnt....get over there and watch the 2 new (2minute) trailers. One is called fear and the other origins. Awesome stuff....some new footage/dialogue.

If Daredevil is successful, I wouldn't be surprised if Netflix arranged for a second season to be produced outside of the initial deal to arrive before the Defenders mini-series

Holy crap! Thanks for the heads up dude. I could not be more hyped about this show right now.

Apparently Cox and Donofrio will be having an AMA on reddit tomorrow.

Just because something is a hit doesn't guarantee that they'll quicken the turnaround. If anything it gives shows more leverage to take the time they need in between seasons. Look at Sherlock, easily one of the BBC's most successful shows, but we're now averaging 2-3 years between seasons.

To be honest, I'd rather the showrunners take as much time as they need between seasons to get as strong a show as possible than rush things for the sake of getting the next season out within a year.

Sherlock is because of the actors are so busy, normally the show would have ended but clearly Freeman and Cumberbatch still like doing it enough for the show to continue even with huge breaks.

Also where the hell are these trailers can't see them on Netflix anywhere

Bloody hell! Christ, that's just what I needed to finish my Friday night. :hmr:

If I had never heard of Daredevil before, hadn't followed the marketing at all, those two trailers right there would have sold me on this show and made this series must-see. But as a diehard Daredevil fan who has been following every step of this production, these both had me jumping up and down in my seat. By far the best trailers produced for the show yet, some of the best, most epic trailers I've seen for any TV show. That's it. That for me is the crown on top of everything. If we don't get another whisper of promotion between now and one week from today I won't mind.

Exactly. And they've made a point of saying they aren't committing to any deadlines for any of the shows, they'll release them when they're ready.

They won't rush ahead with DD2.

Sherlock is because of the actors are so busy, normally the show would have ended but clearly Freeman and Cumberbatch still like doing it enough for the show to continue even with huge breaks.

It's also the showrunners schedules, but nevertheless, they aren't contractually obligated by the BBC to produce a season every year, and they wait until the scripts are ready before filming.

"Feel my heart... what is it telling you?" "That you're excited for Daredevil" "More than I've ever been in my life... and I'm not alone."

"Forgive me father for I am hyped... not for what I've seen, but for what I am about to see."

Awesome trailers.

I guess to me, I consider "The Defenders" Season 2 of all four shows. After all, this isn't the Avengers we're talking about here. We're talking about 12 hours worth of content. Daredevil being one part of an ensemble might seem like a step down from a narrative standpoint, but there's still going to be a lot of time there to delve into his character arc. If you're going to do a Daredevil Season 2, then don't you really have to wait until after the Defenders? That just seems to me to sort of be the reality of this particular setup, as non-traditional as it might be.
