I'm kinda shocked at the reviews. My expectations have been low all year because that reddit leaker was pretty down/unenthusiastic about what he saw from this season. Glad to see a complete 180 on the turnout.

Glad to see that season 3 looks to be a return to form. I feel like season 2 was better than a lot of critics give it credit for; Frank’s storyline was magnetic and powerful and Elektra was a fantastic addition. Unfortunately, the stuff with the Hand bogged down the show. I hope that we’ve seen the last of them, at least in anything involving Daredevil.

Interesting that Bullseye seems to be polarizing. I read most of the non-spoiler snippets of reviews that were posted on CBM and most of those critics really dug the character. But I doubt many of them are avid DD comic book readers like Vile is, so maybe it’s one of those cases where they took a lot of liberties to make the character more appealing to mainstream audiences. I’ve only read a few DD comics and none of them featured Bullseye, so I doubt I’ll notice how much he differs from the source material.

Though I have to say, I’ll always have a soft spot for Colin Farrell’s Bullseye. He was ridiculous, but he seemed like the only actor in that movie who was actually trying and he suited the film’s goofy, cartoonish tone.

I haven't read spoilers or anything, but if Bullseye is polarizing, my guess would be it is due to liberties. But, we'll see. I am not necessarily against changes as long as they work within the context of the show and is good in their own right.

Looks like DD S3 returns the Netflix corner of the MCU to greatness- can't wait for next Friday!

As for Bullseye, it would be interesting if the divisiveness stems from changes in his backstory, because, from what I know about him (the only story I read featuring the character is Roulette)... doesn't he have not much of a (confirmed) backstory at all?

General WoM seems v strong and general review reactions particularly strong too. Similar in construct & style to S1 rather than S2.

I'm seeing a lot of people retroactively pan season 2, that is not how i remember that season being received. Yes, It wasnt AS tight as season one plot and pacing wise but season two was still ****ing excellent television.

Bull's-eye is not polarizing so far. Only vile has disliked him. Every other review I have read and I have read close to 20 praise him. One guys opinions doesn't constitute "polarizing". No disrespect to vile, I think he is good but he is known to removing points for his reviews when something is not "comic accurate" which is unfair since this version can work greatly within the context of the show.

I'm seeing a lot of people retroactively pan season 2, that is not how i remember that season being received. Yes, It wasnt AS tight as season one plot and pacing wise but season two was still ****ing excellent television.

Season 2 was well-reviewed, but not as well reviewed as season 1 even when it came out. I remember it having a noticeably lower RT percentage and such. I love season 2, but it is a downgrade relative to season 1.
