Everyone likes to hate on Loeb for some of his lesser work, but no one ever wants to acknowledge the great work he has done.

Agent Carter was done by the movie folks. I think most people give Loeb crap for the animation stuff and the first 2/3rds of AoS season 1. I can't speak to the cartoons as I never watched em, but AoS was, prior to TWS, uneven, to put it nicely. It's also been rumored that Goddard left DD due Loeb. So its not completely unreasonable for people to express trepidation at Loeb's involvement.

Hopefully Daredevil is as good as the early reviews suggest, though, because they're really getting me excited.

All those are rumors though. Also, it's very possible the creative reasons were not unreasonable on Marvel's part. Keep in mind that Marvel is basically trying to build a cohesive universe across TV and movies, something that has never truly been done before. It is probably one of the major reasons it took so long for Ant-Man to happen

Keep in mind that all of Zak Penn's work for Avengers basically got trashed by Joss Whedon when he came in. Whedon sat down and told Feige that they had "nothing." And he essentially started from scratch.

Also it wasn't all the movie folks who did Agent Carter. Loeb worked on that show as well. Not to mention, he's not the only creative voice on Agents of SHIELD. The showrunners are Jed Whedon and Maurisa Tancharoen. Also Jeffrey Bell. Just saying, you can't always solely blame what you don't like on one guy.

They saw 6 episodes! "The hype is more than justified . All the initial excitement about the videos we watched is there , vibrating , bursting with desire to see the end result ... worth . Loeb has written some really great comics in the 90's but all of his more recent works had been garbage. Ultimates 3 and Ultimatum were just bad, so so so very bad. Insanely bad, the stories don't even make sense. It's so bad it makes you wonder how this guy is still employed. And that's where most of his criticisms are from. Plus his work in television is up and down, kind of tough to tell what he did well and what he did poorly due to the fact that most shows hire a team of writers. But since he's not writing anymore I have a little more faith with his involvement.

Man those comics were bad.

So many raves. I initially planned on watching the series over 3-4 days but if this is really that good, i might ust finish the whole thing in one fell swoop..lol

He's been ragging on the show for the best part of a year now, criticising everything about the show - the casting, the apparent Miller influence, the costume, the tone of the trailers - and saying he thinks it'll suck. Then a couple of days ago he said he's been hearing "very bad buzz" about the show from the review episodes sent out. Now that people are questioning him on that giving the outpouring of rave reviews today, he's basically calling them idiots and pooh-poohing the credibility of the reviewers who've praised the show thus far.

Devin Faraci is such a biased and childish critic, Its surprising he still has a job

Once he has a grudge on something, he will invent false rumours to bring it down, did the same thing with TASM

Elden Henson is great on the show. People need to lighten up.

I am sooooooo glad to hear that. I know he was the most unknown of the main cast (maybe besides Cox?) but really glad he nailed Foggy!
