DAREDEVIL REBOOT: How would you do it?

I'd like to see Javier Bardem play Bullseye, somebody mentioned that he should play Kingpin but I think that he'd be best as Bullseye himself.
I actually think Bardem is too good for Bullseye. For all his ruthlessness and his body count, Bullseye is really just a thug. Bardem deserves to play somebody bigger and badder than that.

while i know he is very very short for the role, i always thought chiklis would have made a good kingpin. he's build kinda the way i picture kingpin, if only he was taller.

As far as directors go, there are probably better choices out there, but I wouldn't mind seeing Marvel giving Ben Affleck a shot. The irony being that he starred in the first version. He supposedly loves the character and he's shown that he can make a dark, gritty thriller as a director.

For Matt/DD, I'd love to see Matt Damon take the role, but if he doesn't, I've warmed up to Damian Lewis as Matt Murdock. You might know him from his roles in "Band of Brothers" and currently on NBC's "Life". He's a great actor, and I think he'd make for a great Matt.

For Elektra, I don't know if Sarah Shahi is a great actress, but she's pretty decent from the smattering of TV roles I've seen her in. She's been featured in such shows as "The L Word", "The Sopranos" and currently stars with Lewis in "Life". Aside from her great beauty, I was quite taken by her remarkable resemblance to Greg Horn's rendering of the character. Though I'd imagine they'd want a bigger name, she definitely looks the part as far as I'm concerned.

He'll probably spend the whole thing wearing a mask, but Kevin McKidd has proven himself as a terrific actor and I can definitely see him going crazy as Bullseye. Of course, I'm also hoping he'll wind up as Thor, but I think he'd make a good Bullseye as well.

I was wondering who they could get to play the Kingpin. If they were to take a darker, sort of Batman Begins type approach, I don't have a problem with the Kingpin pictured as the mob boss type. I originally thought of the great Albert Finney, but upon further pondering I figured he'd be too old. But then I thought of Brendan Gleeson. He's a big guy and even though I can't think of a role where he wasn't the played big Irish guy, I'm pretty sure he could pull this off quite well.

Wasn't too sure about Foggy, but Paul Giamatti is a fantastic actor who kinda fits the bill. When I first thought of him, I thought maybe he'd be a bit too old, but he's about the same age as both Matt Damon and Damian Lewis, so go figure.

Nice casting, Rizor. Especially Brendan Gleeson as Kingpin

yeah i agree, nice cast. i like Mckidd as bullseye. isn't he cast for being thor? if not, excellent choice.

I wish they'd remake DD, the first just doesn't feel right, it's all wrong. Bullseye was ******ed and Kingpin is white, race does matter 'cause that's not who the character is, so it doesn't feel like I'm seeing that character.

I'd feel the same way if Jimmy Fallon played Blade ya know.

I guess Gleeson is fine as long as Kingpin stays in a suit the whole movie. Don't want to see flabby arms when they're supposed to be muscular.

I'm diggin' that cast overall.

Woah, woah, woah. Bullseye was one of the best things about that movie. I'm sure you'd be singing a different tune if he was doing everything he did while wearing a costume.

As for Kingpin's race, well, you find a white guy that big and muscular who can act. Michael Clark Duncan and Ving Rhames are a rare breed of actors.

i dont' think that's a fair comparison. cause MCD actually looked good as kingpin and fits the profile really well, except the race part.

it's more like jason statham playing blade. i think that's a better comparison. even if he fits, something's off. i do not associate fallon anywhere near a superhero, black or white.

speaking of which...what about stathem for bullseyes?

I'd love to see Wentworth Miller ("Prison Break") as Bullseye

He may not have the physical abilities of Jason Statham (few do), and he wouldn't be as manic as Colin Farrell, but I am positive that he could definitely turn the creep factor up to a thousand.

Duncan didn't bother me as Kingpin.

That's a very hard role to cast. I think they cast him perfectly.

It's to bad they didn't give him much to do in the film.

Savage:

Ving Rhames would be a great replacement if they don't use MCD again.

Rizor:

Gleason would be a great Kingpin, too.

Bullseye was one of the best things in the movie but he was tolerable only IMO.

Farrell was to campy in the role. Bullseye is much more serious and has a darker sense of humor then he was in the movie.

wow! spot on!!!!!!

yeah i agree. wentworth miller for bullseye is a good choice.

Rizor- Great casting! I could see aech of those actors portray those roles!

No i know I'm gonna geat beat up for suggesting this but, hear me out.

I know he is linked to a pop culture character he cant shed but.......if you know that his craft is acting & have an open mind....i think he could be the Kingpin easy.

Peyton:

Doesn't work. He's got the acting skills but there's no way I could believe Tony Saprano could be beat the physical crap out of DD even with a fat suit.

I just wish that DD can be rebooted someday and we'll get to see "Born Again" story on the big screen.

I dont know about that, did you see how violent he can get in some Soprano episodes?

Yes.

Soprano wouldn't last five seconds in a fight with DD. He could bring in his entire crew and they'd still wouldn't be able to stop Matt from beating them bad enough they'd need to eat through straws for a month in hospital.

Yes.

What do you base that on.....opinion? This isn't real. I think Gandolfini can act out a fight scene & make it believable. Did you really think Ben Affleck could fight before he was named DD & make it look decent?

I saw the show.

This isn't real.

I know.

I think Gandolfini can act out a fight scene & make it believable.

He's gonna need to do stuff much more impressive then from Sopranos to get the audience to think DD wouldn't knock him unconscious with a single blow. That's how far the level of violence is between the show and DD.

Did you really think Ben Affleck could fight before he was named DD & make it look decent?

Affleck is much fitter and younger then Gandolfini.

As DD they can use CGI and stunt doubles much easier then with Kingpin, too.
