DAREDEVIL REBOOT: How would you do it?

I Would make it like Batman Begins, and I'd cast James Marsden as Daredvill, and Ray Park as Bullseye

You know, that sounds pretty darn awesome. He would definitly make a good, no great Daredevil. Although, something that I'm sure people would bring up about this is that he already portrayed a comic-book character before(Cyclops - X-Men); I wouldn't be complaining though however because that's a great pick.

Jensen Ackles. Great choice right there.

I was thinking of a more traditional Bullseye so Neal McDonough.

Doesn't he just look like he can pull off a sick bastard? :woot: Well if not him then Robert Knepper.

Both good choices, but I favor Neal McDonough more as Bullseye.

Looking at Ackles age I don't see why Morena Baccarin or Eliza Dushku wouldn't make good Elektras.

Morena Baccarin

Eliza Dushku

Oh and Sean Astin for Franklin "Foggy" Nelson.

Wow! Excellent choice for Foggy, I must admitt. Damn good choice. Not too sure about the Elektra choices, though. I always thought Elektra should look exotic in a DD feature film.

thinking bout it. Jensen Ackles would be an awesome Daredevil. And I second for Eliza Dushku as Elektra. that's pretty good casting right there. but do we think that we'll ever see another DD movie? or a reboot? if we were to warrant a reboot, i'd make the title set apart from the 2003 DD movie (think it was 2003). like have it be The Man Without Fear.
Glad you think so. I'm hoping for a reboot, unless we get a better director for a DD sequel. If they go with a reboot, the first film should be called "The Man Without Fear", then the sequel could be called "The Man Without Fear", I guess.

so what does everyone think if they called it The Man Without Fear?

I get the impression that if we see a sequel or reboot then it will be straight to DVD, which I honestly wouldn't have problem with because it would force them to STOP overusing the goddamn CGI and go practical like they should have in the first place. Daredevil should have had Yuen Wo Ping doing the fights in the first place. Now there's a guy that deserves to use wire-fu.

I wouldn't have a problem with it too, if it went striaght to DVD, as long as the movie is incredible.

I would too

as would I :up::funny:

Thanks :woot:
I've never seen A problem with an actor playing more then one comic book character, he'd do better then anyone else

James is actually not a bad choice, when you think about it. I could picture him in a DD costume.

I would want the movie to play like Begins, but keep that fantasy element. Like villains with superpowers.

It's the best casting idea I've heard in this entire thread. Kudos to Savage.

I agree with the Batman Begins element, but I also sorta disagree. I don't know why and but I just guess that I'd like to see them go all out with this film unlike Daredevil. I want this film to have an R Rating; in-between a mild and a strong rating(if you saw the R Rated Version of Daredevil you can understand my point... I guess).

Sean Astin as foggy??? My god. I think we have the greatest fan casting in a lonnnng time....

Really? To think I was apprehensive since Lord of The Rings made him such a big star and all. Glad to see people like the choice.

People keep saying they want a more exotic looking Elektra though so as much as I like my previous two choices and find them exotic enough, I must wonder what you guys would think of Penelope Cruz in the role.

I haven't seen enough villains maskless to cast them.

I believe she was on the short list for the role in the original film.

And they didn't go with her...why? The Jennifer Garner choice still perplexes me to this day. It's like casting Jaleel White as Black Panther.

Actually the people who were on the list to for the cast of Daredevil probably would have been way better than the actual film it self.

I would have put 2002-2003 era Garner in as Black Widow.

ok i havent actually read a DD comic so i don't know if his look or portrayel was way off, but i thought Favreau was fricken hilarious as Foggy

Yeah, you really can't find a more perfect Foggy than Favreau. Not only was he funny but he got the character perfectly. Foggy can be pretty funny in the comics as well.

It would defanetly need a R-Rating, not quite as stronge as blade
