Daredevil reboot in the near future?

Yeah they should make Daredevil into a TV show. Really no reason to try and push him as a movie franchise character especially since it doesn't seem like Marvel Studios plans to go street level with their films anytime soon. The fact they're doing Agents of SHIELD kind of points to them keeping street level stuff to the TV.

The show could be about Matt's college years, pre-costume. It could be a good way to explore his origins without getting too heavy with the preconceptions of being in costume and going up against similar villains. Also it could give Matt a degree of vulnerability as his radar sense and fighting skills would not be at their zenith yet.
Wilson Fisk could be an up and coming mob operative, but not yet "Kingpin"--

Naw, i don't want them to Smallville it, I want a full Daredevil show. Frank Miller type stuff.

Yeah make him DD from The start and throw in flashbacks about his martial arts training as well as him developing his powers. Similar to Arrow.

I'd be all for a Daredevil TV series myself. He's a character who I think desperately needs another chance.

DD is unusual in that his civilian alter ego is almost as interesting as his superhero persona. They could make a Matt Murdock courtroom drama where DD only pops up every now and then, and I'd watch it. I agree that a TV show is the best place for DD, especially with him being a lawyer.

6' 6" classically trained British actor Nonso Anozie (Game Of Thrones, The Grey, Atonement, Ender's Game, Jack Ryan, RocknRolla, The History Channel's The Bible) would make a good Wilson Fisk.

Dean Norris for Wilson Fisk.

In that case, put it on A&E, which is 50% owned by Disney.

Remember, A&E is the home of the TV series Bates Motel, which is not family friendly.

Even though Disney could do a more dark/adult CBM. They're not going to as they lose the kid money.

They could do the "Law and Order" format, with DD for the former and Matt for the latter, but instead of splitting the episode into two halves they could intersperse between both aspects.

I feel like people would have the same complaint with a matt murdock procedural as they do with AoS. The only reason they want a DD show is for crazy DD action. If we just get normal civilian stuff and than see some action for a minute or two per episode people wont be happy.

Why would DD only get a few minutes of screentime each episode? Of course they need to find a good balance between Murdock's private life/lawyer job and his life as DD. It's just a matter of making all of those sides of him interesting.

Why not just add Matt in S.H.I.E.L.D. ? He can be their lawyer. Who also fights crime

i was replying to someones comment of having the show take place prior to his dd days.

With the news that Marvel's proposing 4 new shows (plus a mini-series) to some cable and online video streaming broadcasters, it's possible (or probable, even) that a Daredevil show is imminent.

Which completely fits, because IMO, a Daredevil show ought to be serialized and not procedural. Something akin to the tone of Damages would be an excellent fit. The entire season could center around a case that Murdock is currently trying. Something that looks pretty straightforward at first but then reveals many deeper levels of darkness, cover ups and conspiracy; which would seamlessly segue into Mardock NEEDING his Daredevil persona to cut through all the sleaze, fighting his way up the chain to finally discover that a rather large fellow by the name of Wilson Fisk is pulling the strings...

Daredevil NEEDS to be one of those five shows. If it's not I'll be shocked

Daredevil.
Punisher.
Heroes for Hire.
The Runaways.
Mockingbird.

If a Daredevil show is done properly, It would be my favorite TV show.

I really hope that DD is one of the 4 new shows.

Maybe because Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D sucks? And Matt is a much, much, much bigger character than someone who makes guest appearances on a show about Agent frickin' Coulson :csad:

Daredevil needs his own show, or better yet, his own series of films.

The casting I'm most interested in is Electra. You can't really have dd without her but it would be a tough ask to get an unknown actress to play the role what with all it's baggage.

The good news is though it would be tough to get her more wrong than she's been played in the past

Agreed - though not too dark - they already tried dark with the current movie, and that didn't work. The more different it is than the movie we have right now, the better.

Avengers has a perfect mix of everything - dark, humorous, action-packed, etc
