Alex doesn't have a brother called Deimos. The mythological version is an earlier son of Ares who was killed along with the mythological Deimos. Ares' current son Alex has fear powers, so people basically just started calling him Phobos.

The first issue of this mini was every bit as good as you guys have been guessing it is. Long as the rest of the issues are as good as this one I'm definitely gonna be picking up the inevitable tpb.

I was looking on Wikipedia and I know most if not all the Greek Gods have many children. So I'm not saying they should use every God, but on Wikipedia it says Phobos has a twin brother Deimos the personification of Dread. Because it says they are twin brothers I would like Marvel to address this. If they have already adressed this, let me know. I have never read the Ares Mini from '05 because its impossible to pick up, I'm looking to get it on Amazon, maybe they addressed Deimos in that mini, since a huge part of the mini revolved around Ares and Phobos.

Speaking of Thor's kids, that was one of the things I noted in the recent iHerc Asgard arc; the queen names a couple of myth-Thor's kids when asking who kid-Zeus is, but I don't think Marvel-Thor's ever been shown to have them (particularly since their mom is Sif).

Who knows? Thor's children have appeared in various forms through flashbacks and alternate futures, but it's all highly questionable as to what their continuity status is. For all we know, Alflyse is somehow aware of previous Ragnarok cycles where Thor did indeed have children, or maybe even the Thor we're all familiar with had children before being banished to Earth as Blake. Dude was already an adult before he was sent to become Blake, and we know that he and Sif had a long relationship before his banishment as Blake and possibly between his various other banishments to human form.

The children I know about are Magni and Modi with his mistress Járnsaxa and Thrud with Sif.

In Marvel, an earlier (redheaded) version of Thor had Magni and Modi with Sif, I think. Then our Thor had just Magni with the Enchantress in the now-alternate future of "The Reigning."

Yeah, it's surprising how badass he got in such a short time. The Ares we know today is pretty much entirely an invention of the past 3 years. Before that, he was just an occasional Thor/Herc villain who was mostly incompetent.

I loved the villain in that aswell. Mikaboshi is it? He/she is back soon right?

Yeah, in Incredible Hercules. Last we saw of him, he went to Skrull space with Herc's God Squad, betrayed them, and started taking the Skrull gods' power for himself. So when he comes back, he's probably gonna be crazy powerful.

Siiick. I suppose he'll be leading the assault of Olympus right?

No, Herc's actually leading the assault on New Olympus. Hera controls Olympus right now, remember? I think the Mikaboshi arc is gonna be the finale to Van Lente and Pak's set of arcs they originally pitched for the series, which should be an arc or two after the current "Assault on New Olympus" one.

Ahhh I see. I haven't been reading it, the last Herc book I got was 137. Imma get it when it goes to TPB though.

What issues can I get the God Squad and Mikaboshi story? Is that in trade?
