Lot's of questions there lol.
Well just look above when green and I were discussing tactics with the boss in DS2 called Royal Rat Authority. You stay under the feet, swipe at the legs. Even though it seems wrong, roll towards him when he strikes to miss his devastating side roll etc. And even with just regular thugs/baddies they have only a certain amount of stamina and after making a few attacks you take them out, circle strafe, or many other strategies out there.
I never played them on a 360, so I don't know what to tell ya there. There really is no...save as you know it. Bonfires are resting points (not all the Souls games). and you can quit+save in the menu which will save your stats/items. In DS1 and Demon's Souls enemies never stop respawning (save for mini bosses/bosses) So once you die/go back into a level or rest at a bonfire all the baddies are back. So there is no really saving in the traditional sense. But it does save your progress when you quit and save. A broken sword, can be repaired in a few ways, from repair powder, to certain blacksmiths.
