I love the teaser, can't wait for this film

Picture is fake. Has nothing to do with the movie

I simply had no choice but post it..

That poster would be great to put up on the welcome to brooklyn sign in NYC

I really hope that just make an American Beauty style drama with apes instead of humans and forget about the taking over the world stuff.

Apes be on that ****.

Can't wait for this. Just watched 'Rise' again, for the first time since i saw it in the movies. Great movie.

Screenwriter Scott Z. Burns Talks David Fincher’s 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA and DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES
Adam Chitwood said:
Burns was also involved with writing the script for the sequel Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and with Matt Reeves now onboard to direct the film and production moving forward, Steve asked Burns if they would be using his version of the script. The scribed admitted he was unsure, but he did talk a bit about why Rupert Wyatt left the project:

“I have no idea [if they’re using my script], Rupert Wyatt and I worked on a draft last summer that I think we were both really excited about and he went into Fox and they seemed to like it, they wanted a lot of changes and they sort of parted ways over those changes. Then management shifted at fox, they brought in a new director, I think the new director wanted a new writer and I don’t know how much of what we did and I wrote is ongoing. It’s kind of heartbreaking because I really loved what we were trying to say with that movie so I hope some of it survives or that they came up with something a lot better.”

The scribe noted that while he loved the apes portions of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, his goal was to make the human characters more interesting:
“I felt the way about it that I think a lot of the people involved did, which was that I loved the apes, but I felt that the human characters needed to be more interesting and that was sort of my task when we started talking about the second one. I was loving it, it was a really fun world to play in. It’s really heartbreaking when these things sort of leave you and you’re not even sure why.”

Really cant wait to start seeing and hearing more about this movie, the first one was superb and while its a shame Wyatts gone, Reeves is a great director, or has been so far, so I think he will do a good job.

'Dawn Of The Apes' would be a better title since it's not their planet yet.

Eh, Rise also had Planet of the Apes in the title. Its the franchise name.

I know, but I just think it's stupid title. I know it's a franchise name but what's the point of including 'Planet' if they haven't taken over the planet yet?. I still think that the first prequel should have been called 'Rise Of The Apes'. It's simple and an obvious prequel name to 'Planet Of The Apes'.

Well considering that the vast majority of humanity is wiped out by the virus, and now it looks like even Franco's character is gone I think its safe to say they're fairly dominant. The great irony of the whole Planet of the Apes concept is that we are selves are apes anyways. Ape society has always been a twisted mirror of our own and then the whole thing secretly being earth in the end.

Its not as if they had taken over the planet in Escape From, Conquest of, or Battle for either.

Does it piss you off that the Friday the 13 films take place on other days of the week or that sometimes Freddy attacks people that aren't on Elm Street?

I'm in an apes mood but there is little news to contemplate so, apes films Rank them.

1. Planet of the Apes 68
2. Conquest
3. Rise
4. Beneath
5. Escape From- really basically tied with Beneath for me.

Both Battle for the Planet of the Apes and Tim Burton's remake are pretty terrible. Battle has McDowell but I think I'll give a slight edge to the remake only that Rick Baker's makeup work is astounding and Tim Roth is a badass.

1.)Planet of The Apes (1968)
2.)Rise Of The Planet of The Apes
3.) Escape From The Planet Of The Apes
4.)Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes
5.)Beneath The Planet Of The Apes
6.)Battle Of The Planet Of The Apes
7.)Planet Of The Apes (2001)

I have high hopes for Dawn.

I like Reeves a lot and think he will do a solid job. Even with his Let the Right One in remake, while he took a lot of inspiration from the original film, he also took the opportunity to play around with some inventive camera work like in the car wreck scene. He has a lot of focus on character interaction even in things where such a focus may seem superfluous like in Cloverfield. He can handle effects work even on fairly low budgets.

It is unknown at this time as to what's going on with script but as far as direction I think the film is in good hands.

For the record, as fun as some of the references to the old films were in Rise, I hope Dawn goes easy on that kind of thing. There were a few times where it was a bit too much. Suprisingly the Damned dirty ape thing didn't bother me as it actually worked in the new context. Felton also shouting out Heston's "it's a madhouse!" was forced and unneeded.

I agree,I've seem Let Me in and Cloverfield, and thought they were pretty good. This unknown direction kind of worries me,but I have hopes that after the success of Rises they know what the right direction is.As weird as it sound I'm trusting FOX not to screw things up.

Looking back the references did feel a little forced,I still enjoyed them but with someone like me who noticed all the references it distracted me somewhat.Still love the movie nonetheless.

I was bored, and have had this on my mind for a while, so I finally killed some time and made it.
