Presumably not since he stated nothing was said to him once Rupert dropped out. It'd be nice if they at least gave him a cameo to explain what happens to his character, but more than likely, he was just killed in the chaos of the past decade since the virus was unleashed.

I can't wait for the movie!

I hope the movie will be as successful as the first one!

it probably still looks like a simian virus that has jumped to the human population, much as we know what avian flus look like.

I suppose so. Just interesting that they determined the source. Having read things like The Hot Zone, I was under the impression that identifying the source of a virus such as that isn't easy. You could be right though.

I'm still left wondering as to just how many more sequels we can get. Like, will we get another trilogy after (presumably) this one? And I'm still asking myself what a third film would entail/what's left to say in terms of leading into the original film.

I mean, we've all seen the original film, right?

Hell, I've even seen the sequels, so...

What leads from Jason Clark seeking out a colony of apes in the forest to Apes being the dominant species on the planet?

Unless nukes are again involved, what brings about the mutants?

Right.

Well, I'm not sure that these films are really paying attention to the sequels, particularly since they create a time paradox that this series doesn't really fit in with. I just presumed that they were only setting up elements that were present in the original 1968 film and working from there. As for setting up elements that were present in its sequels... who knows. That'd be cool, but I really do think they're just focused on trying to get to the world set up in just the original film.

It'd be nice for things like humanity being pushed into the wilderness and rendered mute to be explained, the weird desert environment in the first film, the apes' caste system and clothing... it's things like these that I can't imagine would be addressed in Dawn, so I'm not sure how it would take us all the way from Rise to the original film. I'd think you'd need at least another film to do that, and I'm not sure a third film could/would include Caesar.

I guess we'll have to see.

Probably humans. In Rise, the apes were oppressed and 90% of the humans were d-bags. The tide has turned now.

Some of the apes like Caesar will more than likely want to coexist, even if there is bad blood. There will be extremist apes and extremist humans who both probably want to exterminate each other though.

It all depends on the characters, really. There's gonna be ******* humans and ******* apes. I'm thinking selected humans will be allowed to co-exist with apes (Clarke's character, his son(?) and his girlfriend) while others (Oldman as Norton) will perish

The original series for the most part took place waaay in the future, and I'm pretty sure the Apes were dominant. The only humans left were mutants or slaves. The earth explodes at some point, and some apes go back in time to save some whales or something. I don't know. That original series got real weird in spots. Anyway, at the end the humans and apes have a big dumb battle and later learn to get along.

It's gonna be equal in my eyes. I'm sure there will be good/bad apes and good/bad humans. It all depends on who's in the right.
