Oops thanks JP. that's what happens when you're going on the interwebs on your phone.

Can anyone name off the sites and their respective rumours?

First Showing - Apocalypse is an alien.
Bleeding Cool - The film will continue from DoFP and use both casts again.
Vulture - Only the FC cast will be in the film.
Singer - Apocalypse is not an alien, but what do I know? I'm only the director.

Bleeding Cool - Said that X-Men: Apocalypse would again be a mix of both the FC cast and the OT cast but have no time-travel elements like DOFP.

First Showing - The site that posted the supposed mid-credits scene with Apocalypse.

Vulture - Said that while X-Men: Apocalypse would be a direct follow-up to DOFP, it would be focusing on the First Class cast.

I hope it's not true but other studios in the past outright say "That leak is bogus" or something. All he is saying is that Apocalypse isn't an alien. It's not like the bleeding cool people are the writers for the movie and used the term alien specifically to tell us, Apocalypse in this movie-universe is an alien. They couldn't possibly know that at all, even by seeing that scene or hearing it's description. I never thought he was an alien in that description.

I don't believe it either way, I'm just saying that Singer isn't 100% confirming that the leak is false. He's saying Apocalypse isn't an alien. It's just a term but in the case of the description of that scene, we all were thinking he was literally an alien. He may just be telling us to not jump on a hate bandwagon because one description of a leaked scene has the word alien in it.

I still hope it's false of course.

Sad that a director can't even debunk a rumor.

he was described on paper as looking it doesn't mean that was ever the idea to make him alien

How would you describe someone who looks like apocalypse on screen?

People will read into these tweets, reports what they want to hear.

Fox is already knee deep, looking at X-Force, Apocalypse, while getting FF off the ground. Also Wolverine 3. I don't even think Marvel has finalized their PIII plans. No studio can legitimately plan 5-10 years ahead. What's the point? Why would you waste that time planning all that without focusing first on the task at hand? I doubt they are paying their creative team to come up with ideas in 2025, and then have these geeks pitch 5-10 year X-Men/FF ideas to top movie execs.

Didn't Marvel Studios plan all the way to 2021? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hahahahahaha.

@BryanSinger
#Apocalypse is not an alien. :) #XMenApocalypse

 Thank God. It's interesting that he doesn't say the Magneto part is false if the crash landing part is false too. mmmmmmm

He wasn't described as "looking alien". They described what he looks like AFTER they said he was an alien.

First Showing: apocalypse rumour

Bleeding cool: XM:A will feature both casts

Vulture: Singer directs, strictly first class Cast

:yay:

No, I think Feige has said they have their movies planned out until 2017, and he made that comment either earlier this year or towards the end of last year so that would still be 5 years out.

right now I am more inclined to believe Vulture than Bleedingcool.

Vulture was right on the money with plot details.BleedingCool with no details tried to claim Apocalypse would be main villain for DOFP.

The information on DOFP post credit scene or Bryan Singer simply wants to kill any speculation Apocalypse will be Ailen.

For now I am going with X-Men:Apocalypse being sequel to FC and 1973 parts of DOFP and also reboot of series.

Right now I am inclined to cast doudt on rumored post credit scene of DOFP based on Singer's twitter.

I say it's still up in the air if the credit bumper scene is true or not. I mean the leaked description doesn't say that he literally is an alien. And wouldn't Singer debunk the whole thing rather than such a detail that is already there in the description?

Saying Apocalypse isn't an alien doesn't confirm he won't merge with Magneto.

Thanks all. See we can all work together ;)

If there is an after credits scene attached to DOFP,similar to the one described,
I will judge it when I see it .
In regards to X Men Apocalypse , speaking entirely for myself,
I find it hard to get upset about a movie that is 3 years away.
As for the cast of the sequel to DOFP,
I will take either another mixed cast film
Or one of the two.
As long as the story is strong and uses the characters well,
I dont care which cast they use .

exactly he didn't say the leak wasn't true, he just said he wasn't an alien

"Alien form" is just used to describe what he looks like and everyone jumped thinking "omg Apocalypse is an alien!" as if we didn't already know he was technically an "alien form". He's never called "a being from outer space" or even "an alien lifeform" it's just a way to describe him.

See? Can everyone breathe now??
Nope! :wow:

Not until Singer gives a public address telling us every detail about DoFP and the next several X-Men films.
