I do believe that the future events take place in 2016 as I think I saw the year 2016 in a holographic projection of a date at the end of the film. I thought I saw it on Wolverine's alarm clock holographic projection, while it also states that the radio is playing "Golden Oldies". Which works out well, as 2016 is when the X-Men:Apocalypse is supposed to be released.

Although havoc was a small role in this film, I wonder if it'll serve a larger purpose to his character arc in the long run. It was good to see him, particularly as mr. Scott summers appears at the end.

can someone please explain the begining of the movie where kitty sucessfully sends bishop back. then all of a sudden they are in mongolia and the xjet comes landing down.
so bishop goes back and prevents the ambush then they are finally able to meet with Xavier, Magneto, Strom, and Wolvie?
everything just happened so fast i was really stumped, i remem ber kitty saying something about having the repeat the same ambush with bishop many times or something

Kitty says that she sends Bishop back a few days to warn everyone of the attack, Blink goes out and scouts the next location, when they find it then they movie and Warpath keeps a lookout because he can detect them when they're coming.

Things I'd like to see in the next film.

Wolverine as one of the horsemen, Gambit in a significant role, mcavoy, lawrence and fassbender triangle as the spine of the film yet again, maybe a better resolution to the beast/mystique relationship, charles finding and training a young storm, jean and cyclops, maybe delve a little into the havoc/cyclops relationship, an appearance by cable, a nightcrawler origin, magneto and quicksilver developing their relationship (maybe his sister too) development on the REAL brotherhood of mutants and most of all; The x-men all suited up ready to kick ass on a real mission.

Pretty tall order, but after DOFP i feel anything is possible.

Well I think I would like Wolverine, Gambit and Havok as horsemen (they have all been horsemen in the comics) and then have Xavier recruit Cyc, Jean and then Storm in Africa. That way you could have Cyc and havok have a cool scene where they fight each other but dont hurt each other. You could then introduce Nightcrawler properly. Gambit would start as a villain but become an X-Man. Perhaps even have Apoc go for Xavier to become a horseman forcing the Young X-Men to work as a team straight away.

I don't care. I just wanna see Archangel. He's a great character, 1 of the most impressive visually and just imagine the action scenes they could do with him.

Frankly, I hate this 4 Horsemen concept. I just hope they will change the concept of the "Age of Apocalypse".

The four horsemen are synonymous with apocalypse. They are the most popular thing to come with him and it is always fun to think who it will be. It would be cool to have storm be his first horseman especially seeing as they are both in Africa >

One way round it would be for Banshee to be alive and become transformed into Archangel/Death (imagine that sonic scream added to the metal wings, and banshees were spirits whose cry was an omen of death), though that wouldn't be as good as Angel (the Warren Worthington version) becoming Archangel.

Not sure how they will have Warren/Angel in the past setting, unless he is brought from the future.

Makes sense, you want to stop Mystique, try and get the two most influential men in her life to reason with her, i don't think even Future Magneto could predict how his younger self would react to the news....(or maybe he could )

I first I thought that Magento was acting out of character when he turns on Mystique but in the OT and FC Magneto has shown he will stop at nothing to ensure the survival of the mutant race so it isn't out of character at all.

The most shocking scene in X3 and people were saying it was out of character for Magneto and the more I thought about it the more I thought that is EXACTLY how he would act.

I haven't read any of the posts on this thread for obvious reasons but now that I've seen the movie...who's the white-haired CGI-looking mutant in the beginning of the movie? The one that sneaks in the Central Park concentration camp?

People are saying it's Cable, others Nate Grey.

This alittle a fetched........but could the mutant at the very start of the film be, wait for it...............Franklin Richards????? Now i knew nothing about the character until my sister had told me hes one of the stronger mutants and i now know he is from new york, the same place where that scene played out....

He had that distintive face????! Is this Fox's way of slowly joining the two franchises together as he is the son of one of the Fantastic 4?? IDK!! Anyway by far my highlight of the year......

Is Pietro (Peter, whatever :P) called Quicksilver in the film? If there's one thing the X-films are good at, it's slipping codenames into dialogue without sounding cheesy.

You know what would be the easiest way is just to have the Government give them names as they see the them or track them.Awesome problem solved.Easpicially if they dont know the characters names.

This is so and so he has the ability to run really fast currently in Xaviours school on mutants weve code named him.(Quicksilver)
Simple and believable...We been tracking this mutant for the past three years she has been in and out due to her ability to syphon one energy and powers she is an intrevert and her code name is(Rogue).
We have also been tracking this other mutant with adamntuim claws code named(Wolverine)
Man has power over Metal weve code named him (Magneto).It what would be done because no one would remember them or there powers by their names.Its also what the Fbi used to do when tracking Mobsters..Scarface,The Dapper Don,Etc.etc.
See how simple?I should be writing this stuff why does it even have to be slipped in be deliberate.It almost seems unrealistic that they dont.Thats an advantage that the X-men movies have over other Superhero movies.

Although it can also be done with Shield tracking Superpowered humans.
