DC Comics Solicitations For June 2007

No the Green Arrow is a Year One.. The black Canary mini comes out around the same time but is about Dinah and the proposal from ollie.

(no 2 YEar one storyes comes out the the same time.. but the first comes out same time as the last of another..)

This year there are a few Year one's but thats for Green Arrow, Teen Titans, Black Lightning and 2 others..
Green Arrrow is first in june (WHAT! where is the cover?) then followed by Teen Titans



This year's YEar one books..

I'm almost positive that the BC book is a year one, and even then, where did you get that information that it would deal with the proposal?

I did alittle update for people on another forum, about them.

A short history of Green Arrow and Black Canarys relationship ..

This starts with their last brakeup (Green arrow #40), basicly Dinah brakes it off, But she really didnt want to! she just wanted ollie to appologise and be more into it then he was (Still having a hard time with Joanna's death and the fact that thay had sex)
Dinah says its over and ollie just goes "Ok", dinah fight, ollie is still like Ok, She punches him and bolts (Crying.. only the secound time i can remember dinah crying)

that was in short how it ended the last time..
but what has happend since then?
The next time they talked was in Identity Crisis.. not mutch relationship talk there.

The next time was in BOP #88, Dinah is in Star City and needs help on a case.
Awkward reunion, Fight lokal Modsters, then THE talk.. the one everybody had been waiting for..
Long story short: Dinah has forgiven ollie.. kinda.. There is still love.. but dinah didnt at that time want to be with ollie


Next time we se them together was during and directly after the crisis . No big relationship stuff there

Nextime after that was in an issue of 52 (week 37) the night before Dinah was off to train , abit more relationship talk, but mostly how you been talk..

After that it was the phoncall about geting Sin into the US

After that it was JLA#1, and then BOP #100 where dinah talks about how mutch ollie has changed..

everyone needs to remember that Dinah dossent say yet in Green arrow #75 (from what didio an winick said) that she goes on a "quest" of sorts in the Black Canary Mini to find out if she really wants to ..

Im having a bit of a problem finding the exact source .. but all of these say the same thing..

One big piece of new news was unveiled by Judd Winick and Didio, Green Arrow's series will end with issue # 75, as on the final page, we will see Oliver Queen propose to the Black Canary. Winick's run on G.A. will also conclude as well.

There will be a mini-series following up on the Green Arrow/ Black Canary marriage proposal by Tony Bedard and Paulo Siquera due out in the summer.

Actually, "Green Arrow" will end at #75. Winick said, "On the very last page, Oliver Queen is on bended knee, offering up an engagement ring to Black Canary."

Because Green Arrow and Black Canary have such a long history together as part of the Justice League, the implications of Queen's proposal will play out throughout the DCU. Winick said, "While things are pending with them, you'll get commentary about them in other books." Also planned for later in the year are a "Green Arrow: Year One" and a Black Canary miniseries.

Green Arrow will end with #75, Winick said, adding that the very last page of the issue features Oliver Queen offering an engagement ring to Black Canary. With that issue, Winick said, he’ll be off the series and character.

Newsarama Note: In clarifying his comment, Winick later told Newsarama: " I'm done, and DC is as well, with the monthly book Green Arrow. I'm not done, and DC is not done with Green Arrow. And that's all I say."

The four issue Green Arrow Year One miniseries will begin in July, by Andy Diggle and Jock; at the same time there will be a Black Canary miniseries (which Wayne was referring to earlier) by Tony Bedard and Paulo Siquera. The plan for further year ones will be that they will launch every three months, allowing for a small amount of overlap between them.

Green Arrow #75 – Ollie asks Dinah to marry him, but Countdown teaser suggests that Black Canary rejects him? What’s going on there?

Winck: Green Arrow and Black Canary have had a very tumultuous relationship, and those can be awesome…or - maybe she’s pissed because there are these dead people got here, and Ollie got here late.

Is winick hinting that ollie yet again is going to come in late in a battle and save the day?

Either way...the YO is sure to take her out of the founding of the JLA and I am STILL not happy about that...

are they going to relaunch the green arrow title after the marriage? i'll be pissed if they don't include GA in a monthly book, whether it's his own or a team book. they better not be killing him off again.

It's going to be Green Arrow/Black Canary title.

This marriage thing is a little odd...I'm wondering where it came from. Dinah was very comfortable on BoP and Simone was doing well with her.

and i always thought simone dide a good job having Ollie always be in the back of Dinah's head..

a GA/BC book could be interesting. i've always liked their dynamic when they're in battle and if the plan is to have them teaming up to fight crime then it could be fun. i guess mia's gonna be pulling a lot of babysitting duty if that happens. the arrow family is getting to be bigger than the bat family.

It's not been in working since the 70's. They had a relationship, and they broke up. Up into the last year or so there was no indication that they would get back together. None. She went on with her life and he with his.

She was successful in BoP, and since I own ALL the issues, I can safely tell you there is little to no mention of Green Arrow. At all.

*sigh* Okay, so maybe I'm deluding myself. I hate Green Arrow.

Ironically, I love Arsenal, but then agian my hate for Green Arrow stems from my love of Roy.

I tend to think the GA/BC title is true because there's no reason to cancel Green Arrow's reasonable-selling title.

I am not sucking. I am awesome. Ollie is a dirtbag with no concept of true caring for another person.
Maybe if the writers pulled the sticks out of their asses and focused on the FEMALE character instead of the MALE, we might actually get a good plotline for both. Instead, we're going to end up with a tag-team themed piece of **** that ends up with her pregnant and him He-Man.

I don't get why Green Arrow is getting canceled?It's been one of the most consistinly great books month in and month out. at least in my opionin. So why was it canceled?Just to pair him and Black canary up again?

Its canceld to make way for a new book.. you know you cant just rename a book.. you have to cancel the old one and then start from scratch with a new one..

you cant just put a diffrent name on it.. that would be like... the smart thing to do!
