I'm not critiquing a 5 issue series. I'm critiquing the last issue. The lack of scenes from other tie-ins and the build up that the other tie-ins seemed to allude would happen in Flashpoint #5 wasn't there. Project Superman alluded to Kal finally stepping up and becoming Superman. That was the main reason I bought #5, anyway. All he does in Flashpoint is stomp on the Enchantress. Then there's this giant head who says all the timelines need to merge, and so it does. Was this character in any other issue of the main flashpoint title? If not, that's kind of a half-assed way to explain away the new DC universe.

So what you're saying is that Flashpoint wasn't half assed, his review was?

Action covers Superman's origins or at least his first year or whatever and Superman takes place in the now where he's established and has his "super cool" Kryptonian armor.
I'd go with Action because it's written by Grant Morrison and that pretty means it's gonna be awesome.
If Superman takes place in the present while Action takes place 5 years before, how is Batman and Detective comics? Does Detective Comics take place before?

I'm still confused about Action Comics and Superman. Action Comics is the origin of Superman and the Superman comic takes place in the present? Will the two comics eventually meet up in timeline or will Action Comics forever take place in the past?
Agreed, but writers seem to be afraid to remake Batman's origin because of Millar's Year One being so known but still they could have still made early stories of him, i would like to see a story arc about Batman's conflict with the original Red HoodBatman and Detective Comics are set in the present day. In my opinion, it would have been better to have Detective Comics and make a new Sensation Comics to go over the early days of Batman and Wonder Woman the way Action Comics is doing with Superman.
Yep Morrison writing Superman again is going to be amazing. DC definitely chose the right person to tell the story of his origin this time
Looking forward to seeing how he writes Superman everything I've heard so far has got me excited

After the first arc, Action Comics will move into the present day, still written by Grant Morrison.
If we're going to have a cowboy Superman and abolitionist Batman I want a pirate Wonder Woman. Lassoing ships with her magic lasso and hunting for magical treasure with her crew of super strong Amazon pirates. Cheetah can be a rival pirate with a crew made up of cursed cat people and there will be epic duels as they sail the seven seas
It would be like Pirates of the Carribean but with more superpowered lesbians and murderous cheetah women with a lust for cursed gold
Which would make it 10x morethan Pirates of the Carribean
Also Galenthias should be the first mate on Wonder Woman's ship. Because a kitteh in a pirate hat > everything else thats ever been made ever
You all know you'd read it
