DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 6

Were you seriously going to keep buying it with Simone on there? That book was horrendous.

I think it's a little funny how quickly some books are getting new writers already. And it's mostly the books that people are hating, like Firestorm and Green Arrow. I thought Superman was pretty well-received, though, and it's already swapping creative teams.

I actually liked Green Arrow. While some of the changes were stupid like moving Ollie to Seattle (something that I don't like in Grell's run either) and making him much, much younger, a lot of the stuff such as Q-Core/the restoration of Queen Industries and Ollie's technological arsenal are pretty damn cool. I like where the story is going and I like Ollie's characterization.

At least there's an explanation for the creative change in Green Arrow, J.T. Krul is being given more opportunities in DC. There really is no explanation for what is going on with Firestorm and Superman.

Because "The Flash" and "The Green Lantern" are part of the "Big 7", not "Barry Allen" and "Hal Jordan", so all Flashes and Green Lanterns should be excluded.

As for my team:

Nightwing
Power Girl
Captain Marvel
Plastic Man
Green Arrow
Black Canary
Zatanna

I was thinking more along the lines of the main ones.

Honestly, Wally wasn't doing s**t that whole time. He shoulda at least been in JLA.

As in the New 52 relaunch book? Utter crap. Only thing I like is Cassie's new costume.

Awwww :csad:

I thought the first issue was just kind of mediocre. Definitely didn't like how Cassie was written but I'll be sticking with it a while longer

I like the look of the new characters Bugg and Bunker :)

I was going to stick with it if Simone was writing as she's one of my absolute favourite comic book writers

If she's not though I have no interest at all in buying it

If you had to pick a JLA team that couldn't include any of the Big Seven, who would you pick?

I think that Robinson should have gone with total replacements for the Big 7:

Dick Grayson
Supergirl
Donna Troy as Wonder Woman from Allan Heinberg's run on Wonder Woman
Wally West
Kyle Rayner
Joseph

Plus:
Connor Hawke
Ryan Choi
Jason Rusch
Cyborg

It's really depressing how DC's higher-ups seem incredibly determined to just forget Wally ever existed.

Maybe Ron Marz can write a neat story about how Wally turns evil and kills all the Speed Force users. The New Black Flash but this time he'll succeed and kill them all. Then we'll get a whole new Flash and Wally will still be floating around the universe. Just not in the pages of the Flash. Don't worry there will be plenty of events featuring the New Corrupted Wally so you'll never forget who and what he once was.

Sound good?

That's only apt if Wally was a boring *****e. Then such a thing would give him some character.

So, maybe they should do that with Barry instead.

I'am angered by how Wally was disposed of.

What's Krul getting? I haven't heard anything about else with his name attached.

Either way Wally is screwed. If he comes back he will probably have never been married and had children.

It doesn't matter what we like silly goose, it matters what John's knows is best for us. Now eat your spinach.

It hasn't been announced yet. But DC has given Krul a project that in his mind, just couldn't refuse. So he had to decide to drop either Green Arrow or Captain Atom. He decided to drop Green Arrow because he's been writing the character for a few years now and he's a huge Captain Atom fanboy.

I saw the previews for Catwoman #2 and I still don't get at what time it's taking place. Selina doesn't know Bruce is Batman in it, so does that mean it takes place in the past like Justice League and Action Comics, or they just erased her knowledge of it as part of the relaunch? I thought the Bat-books were not affected by it.

Yep, Catwoman is rebooted, yet Hush isn't supposed to be.

Way to mess things up, DC.

Wait

...

Whut

So Catwoman does not know Bruce is Batman. But the stories where she knows Bruce is Batman are still in continuity

I dare that to make less sense

From this point on I'mma assume that Catwoman takes place in the past :o

The stories where she knows Bruce is Batman happened without the parts where she knows Bruce is Batman.
