They're continuing the YJ universe?

The Young Justice line is DC's line of books based on younger characters: Teen Titans, Legion of Super-Heroes, Legion Lost, Static Shock, Blue Beetle, and Hawk & Dove. Legion: Secret Origin is also published under this label.

Oh. Meh. I don't see why they're separating things like that.

I actually like DC showing their lines like the Green Lantern books having a green DC logo and the Dark books having a black DC logo and the Superman books having a red and blue DC logo. I also like the concept of firmly defining the various lines (Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Justice League, Young Justice, the Edge, the Dark). It gives you a sense of what is going on, well except for the Edge, that line just has no direction and frankly I don't care about most of the books that line is publishing.

That is great news that Simone is working on a new book and that she and Scott Snyder will be working together

I wonder what the new series she is doing will be

Maybe a new Gen 13 series. That would make sense for the 'young justice' books and she liked writing those characters

I'm currently working on the Perez Wonder Woman run.

It is seriously great stuff

His take on the Cheetah and Circe is some of the best writing those characters have gotten and he did a really neat job of writing both Wonder Woman and the Amazons

That first arc with Ares was balls-to-the-wall insane. I loved it.

I loved the way Wonder Woman defeated him by forcing him to confront the true end result of his plan rather than just beating him senseless

I was gonna say that, but then I thought, eh. It's okay.

It's nowhere near as mesmerizing as Vanity's.:o

Oh 'Nubsy :o

Fun on a bun Batwoman is once again in the top twenty

Every time I see my favouritest comic book of all time in the top twenty I let out a little squeal of fangirl joy :atp:

I've not really been digging Superboy's series so far. I'm just not liking the post relaunch Superboy :csad:

DC annihilated Marvel in October with a 51% unit share to Marvel's 30%. DC took the dollar share lead with 42% to Marvel's 29%. The biggest gainers of the month were Animal Man, Frankenstein, and Demon Knights, moving dramatically up the charts.

Woo! :)

Yay for Animal Man  I've been loving that book so I'm glad to see it doing well. Most of the books I love are doing pretty great right now which is pretty fab

And unprecedented. :o

Good comics, actually selling well?! I don't know how to feel anymore! :(

I didn't read Teen Titans #2 yet but until now i've been liking Superboy/ Teen Titans, Animal Man is one of my favourites, i never read 7 Soldiers so i'm not a big fan of Frankenstein, and Demon Knights has been fun.

I've also been liking Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Action Comics, Justice League, and others that i don't remember. I also didn't read Superman #2 yet but from what i got from Justice League 1-2 and Superman 1 i'm not really liking Superman's personality, i just think it's out of character, he wasn't even like that in Grant Morrinson's Action Comics, i think the writers tought Superman would continue as coocky and as some angry god after Action Comics and so are taking it too far instead of realising that he was like that there because he was still learning.

Indeed a lot of the time great books hardly sell at all while awful ones sell in the thousands

It's nice to see good comic books selling well like they deserve to

I think so yeah

So the sales figures are probably actually even higher

Plenty of good comic books are selling well too though Motown

Its not just stuff like Daniels Detective Comics

you know whats super sad about this. tony daniels' detective comics jumps 7% in sales, while grant morrisons action comics drops 16% in sales. if the future of DC is tailored to sales like that, then we are in for some very dark times.

A drop like that for Action Comics is actually good news. A typical second issue drop, especially for one that sells so high, is much, much, larger. Like the second issue drops for Captain America, Uncanny X-Force, FF, Mighty Thor, X-Men, Daredevil, Wolverine, and other recent books have had second issue drops of around 40% or higher.

Add in the fact that Action Comics sold much higher than those books and had a much smaller drop than those books is really good news. But you also have to take into account that retailers just underestimated demand for Detective Comics, Tony Daniel's run on Batman wasn't a big seller and when his run on Detective Comics is selling out, it's only understandable for them to order more.
