DC Relaunching Everything? - Part 6

I, Vampire seems like one of those books that could be really awesome quality, but ultimately not what I want to read.

Well it's a book that the majority here will never read or be interested in (like All-Star Western or Men of War) cause they're not into anything outside of superheroes; but at the same time it's also their loss. I loved the way that book established vampires in the new DCU.

I, Vampire is pretty glorious its true

Loved how this series started and I'll definitely be sticking with it for at least the first arc and beyond that if it stays this good

Yea I went in thinking I was going to force myself to finish reading just to say I read it...but especially the banter between the girlfriend and boyfriend was just so great. You start to feel for the guy. And the overall book just felt great.

I just read Red Hood and the Outlaws and all i know from Starfire is from the Teen Titan tv show so, is she a b**h with no emotions in the comics?

She didn't use to be?
Then she was more similar to starfire from the tv show?

Ya. This whole sex with anyone and not caring about any humans is brand new for the nuboot.

Until now one of the biggest criticisms seems to be using the female characters like Catwoman and Starfire as sex objects.

Catwoman had lots of sex with Batman anyhow. The only difference in the reboot is that they showed it.

As much of a perv as I may be, even I am a little squicked by Starfire's nonchalant hoebag nature.

There is a difference between free spirit and total ****.

I'm completely fine with Starfire being sexually liberated and enjoying casual sex

Nothing wrong with that at all

I don't like how she's an emotionless robot who seems to only be interested into latching on to any man who passes by and hooking up with them and doesn't care about any of her friends or lovers

She's become a horny Vulcan and that just makes me make the  face

Loved how Catwoman was written though

Not a perfect comic book but it was fun and I really enjoyed how Winnick wrote the character.

So no major complaints there

Funny how you never seem to have problems with how female characters were drawn and writen in the reboot :cwink: (this has nothing to do with Catwoman as i think it was ok)

I just said that I did have a problem with how Starfire was written. She is a female character the last time I checked :oldrazz:

Their are plenty of characters of both genders who i dislike how DC is handling after the reboot

I just prefer to concentrate on the stuff I'm digging and ignore the stuff I'm not. Unless its incredibly horrible or offensive to me I just ignore the crummy series/characters

But you liked Harley Quin's new look! :argh:

But you liked Harley Quin's new look! :argh:

Eh yes and no

I love the costume. It's hawt sexy and kinky and if a brand new character was wearing it I would absolutely adore it

I dont think it suits Harley Quinn though. I think they should have kept her in her classic look

I mean I dont hate it. But I dont love that look for Harley :down bring back her original look DC :cmad:

I do want that costume though :ninja:

As for how she was written everything about Suicide Squad was just kind of bland and dull

Can't believe they canceled Secret Six for this

I never read Secret Six but i heard it was good

It was epically epic

I definitely recommend you check out the trades of it its one of the best series DC has published

Pretty much. I can get other genres outside of comics. :o
