I don't know about Ewoks, but there's finally a Wookiee Jedi in the new Dawn of the Jedi comic series.

Well, it's pre-lightsaber times. But he still appears to be a badass.

It's just set in a different era. Like the Knights of the Old Republic comics were set during the Old Republic era. This one's set even further back, before hyperspace travel was even a widespread thing, the Sith were still a separate species of both good and bad people rather than the blanket term for evil Jedi, and the Rakatan Empire was still out there enslavin' away.

I've not been picking up the new Green Arrow series but I've heard nothing but bad things

Does it really suck that badly

It's okay, but I'm hoping it'll get better when Ann Nocenti starts writing it in issue 7. If her Daredevil stuff is any indication then it will.

It certainly seems to be so far. Granted, like three quarters of the first issue was exposition to lay the foundations of the pre-Republic era, but the stuff with the Rakata and their Force Hounds got me pretty jazzed for the next issue. I'm really looking forward to learning about the Je'daii characters. Ostrander and Duursema are nothing if not expert character builders, as Quinlan Vos and Cade Skywalker show.
