Actually since Superboy Prime was not on New Earth, Earth-13, or Earth-51, (or Earth-2 for that matter), there is no reason to assume that he doesn't exist since he was in a universe that wasn't affected

SCIENCE

If he does still exist at least he probably won't be the dbag he was before Flashpoint as Infinite Crisis never happened now

But to him, Infinite Crisis still happened. And even if Earth-Prime has changed, he would probably still be a little d-bag comic nerd who gets enraged over every stupid thing in comics.

Yay

Lets hope he stays stuck in his parents basement in that case

Just finished reading JL #9, and I get really aggravated whenever Cyborg is on the page--because he's just so damn ugly. He looks like Michael Bay's Megatron. He's just this big blob of nondescript technology.

They needed to modernize him. They need to look at design trends in the tech industry and go from there. Instead they got Jim Lee to do it, so it came out looking like something from 1995.

Cyborg should have come out of this looking like an iPod, not a low-rent Iron Man villain.

Wow, wrong thread.

I always wondered why with the advanced tech in the DCU that Cyborg couldn't be made into a Terminator like being with the metallic skin covered by an artificial body.

It's not like it's far fetched even freakin Metallo had that look for awhile on...

Maybe Cyborg's not worried about covering it up?

He should be, that s**t looks tacky. :o

And he did for awhile. When he was Gold.

Didn't Cyborg look like a golden version of his human self for a while in the '90s?

Really, "ground up redesign" should have been the number one item of their list when they decided to randomly pick Cyborg for promotion.

They did.....they added fins and s**t.

I woulda went with a flame across his legs. That's just all kinds of badass. :awesome:

I would have went with the Kingdom Come look for Cyborg. Where he looks normal.

On a side note what is going on with Aquaman. Why has DC cancelled his subscription?

hey guys. i have a silly confession/question to ask

its my first time reading comics. i decided to start reading since this new 52 would make it easier for me to catch up.

ive been reading JL, Batman and Batman and Robin since the new 52 launched.

and i have a few questions to ask..

1.) are all of these comics in one "universe"? like.. you know the whole court of owls issue going in batman right now? is that actually happening in the justice league/batman and robin issues? if so, how come theres no mention of it... and how can batman be in two places at once... dealing with nobody and the owls?

2.)do i have to buy nightwing, catwoman, etc just to understand the current event of an issue? again, as an example, the court of owls. do i need to read nightwing, etc just to understand the whole court of owls invasion on gotham?

thanks so much!

1). Yes, they're all part of the same universe. Justice League #8 actually mentions Night of the Owls and the League's response to it. And All-Star Western #9 ties into the event as well.

2). No you don't need to read the other books. All of the tie-ins are pretty stand alone and the only book necessary to understand what is goung on is Scott Snyder's Batman.

Ah, I miss being new to comics and confused about absolutely everything.

Just remember, everything that's going on isn't necessarily happening at the same time. Your average storyarc may take six months real time but the actual story only takes place over the course of a few hours to a few days. Time is funny that way in comics.

I'm kind of in the dark here since I stopped collecting titles for awhile now but are these costume changes for all DC characters permanent or just a temporary thing, the reason I ask is that I still see DC merchandise like T-shirts using the old costumes.

In terms of merchandising, I think DC is pretty permanently stuck on using the 70s incantations of all the heroes.

Not that that's a bad thing. For most of them, it was when they were at their most iconic.

Green Lantern is marketed based on his modern look. And Batman's look has been rather inconsistent if you ask me with them promoting him based on the classic 70's look, a more traditional design, the Nolan films, etc.

I guess you're right.

I've seen 70s stuff, Reis GL, Nolan Batman, and Reynolds GL stuff.

He should transform into a jet and carry the rest of the Justice League from place to place :awesome:

They're only doing it for the headline.

Mysti's gonna be ****ing thrilled, though.
