I like what Leitch has to say about the sequel. His words don't strike me as much as Tim Miller's would yet, as anytime HE said something, he'd blow my mind and make me think "Whoa! You nailed it. I agree 100%. You so totally get it", but he's said some interesting stuff and I'm looking forward to see what he'll do with the material.

I mean, Rhett and Paul were on Collider Heroes the other day and mentioned that they didn't have a definitive start date yet (but were aiming to start in a couple of months) so it's not new info or anything, but I was hoping Leitch would give us a bit more insight into where they were in pre-production. Is he making Ryan and Domino's actress go through intense martial arts and firearm training like Keanu Reeves did for John Wick (who did 4 months of training total iirc) etc.

Conney is always the best but brosnan gave me the elements i want in bond.

he could be tough or menacing when needed.

he could do one liners and be charming.

when needed he could de serious.

Goldeneye is my second favorate bond film while world is not enough is my number 5.even i don't have die another day as one of my top 10 favorate bond films.even though conney is my favorate diamonds are forever is my least favorate bond film.Brosnan wasn't even first bond i saw that was roger moore In A view to a kill back in 1985 in theaters.

now if brosnan is playing cable i don't know what that means.he has done boths erious and comedic roles.the deadpool writers have mentioned wanting other characters to be different than deadpool so cable could be straight tough guy to be contrast with deadpool.

On today's episode of Meet the Movie Press, Forbes's Simon Thompson said he chatted with director David Leitch at the world premiere of John Wick: Chapter 2, and after he congratulated Leitch on landing the Deadpool 2 gig, he tried to lure Leitch into confirming a casting rumor. "So I said, 'Congratulations on casting Pierce Brosnan,'" Thompson explained, "and he went, 'We have not yet.'"

Mashable's Jeff Sneider then chimed in, "[Variety's] Justin [Kroll] can't say anything, but, yeah, I've heard it's going to him."

Well, if Brosnan does indeed land the role, Thompson says all reveals for the film — character and casting — will come from its star and producer, Ryan Reynolds. So keep a close eye on his Twitter account.

As for the rumor itself, it originated last month when Reynolds and Hugh Jackman posted photos of their social media accounts in which they posed with Brosnan. It's not much to go on, but for the internet, all it takes is to be a former action star over the age of 60 and in the vicinity of Reynolds to get a Cable rumor attached to them.

when we say him do pic with reynolds and jackman i had thought he may be playing cable.even though writers denied it wonder if all the deadpool/wolverine talk from reynolds and jackman means wolverine has cameo/small role in Deadpool 2.

Would love to see a Wolves cameo, but Brosnan just doesn't seem right for Cable to me.

Not big on Brosnan. My interest in this has taken a big hit since Miller left. No news since has really excited me. My second favorite character and I can't get excited for the follow-up to a film I love.

I really think he would be a perfect fit for Cassidy, not too sure on Cable. But alot is riding on this casting that I'm sure the Deadpool crew and Fox are aware of.

Brosnan is certainly more iconic having played Bond, I just don't think he's great for Cable. I'd be surprised if he was the first choice.
