Man, he took his precious time changing outfits. Awful for a superhero.

Rhett Reese @RhettReese

One last thing! The new Deadpool piece is NOT a teaser or trailer. It is a short. None of its footage will appear in Deadpool 2.

The version in the theater had me going, thinking it was the actual Logan film, until I heard Angel of the Morning!

You'll need to take that down due to language.

I didn't find the first Deadpool particularly funny, but that clip had me rolling.

What's the song playing when he runs out of the telephone booth?

That's a great teaser/short/whatever. The Firefly stuff is interesting. I love the idea of David Harbour as Cable but Fillion would be a solid choice as long as he tones up. Like a lot.

Also, did anyone else read the Old Man and the Sea summary at the end? I think that was my favorite part about the whole thing. So hilarious and random.

you mean when you see "man in motion"? I wouldnt know really.

Saint Elmo's Fire, great song.

Also, that trailer was 12/10, ****ing loved it.

This short was exactly like the first Deadpool, half funny/half demented.

Never seen St. Elmo's Fire?

Great short though.

As predicted by the memes, Deadpool finally recognised Stan Lee doing a cameo.

Hate to agree with Grace Randolph but the ending to that teaser was just cruel and not funny. Loved the lead up and concept. Laughed early but using a poor gut-shot guy as a pillow is just poor taste, period.

So you dont understand who Deadpool is just like Grace? Cause she certainly doesnt understand the character. That I can pretty much say.

This is practically the most anti-hero we've seen from DP and...I like it.

Supposedly in the comics, he's still a do-gooder like any other, but obviously eff'd in the head and constantly surviving Murphy's Law.

Pool lying on the body was hilarious, as are the reactions to it. People getting so mad.

The short had a good idea for a joke but frankly didn't execute it very well. I understand Deadpool lying on a body is something he would potentialy do, but how that is funny i don't know (could have potentialy been if executed in another way though). Reminds me of some of the worse Family Guy jokes.

Got me a bit worried for Deadpool 2. Getting the feeling that David Leitch probably doesn't know to handle the material as well as Tim Miller did.

Still hoping it'll be good, but if this short shows what type of film Deadpool 2 is going to be like, i'm worried it'll be like Ted 2: A sequel to what was lightning in a bottle.

Sorry but short was some funniest thing I saw from Deadpool altogether (both marketing campaign and whole first movie). Movie is certainly in great hands if this short is anything to go by.

People just dont understand who and what Deadpool really is. And that's the thing when your mainstream audience has FALSE or specific image of the what character truly is. And this is what happens when audience who isnt familiar with comics start getting into "unknown territory" when we start going bit deeper with the character. Many will get offended, mad or find it in poor taste.

Deadpool is supposed to be tasteless. Doesn't mean that you have to like the short, of course.

Trying to review a non existent movie one way or the other based on that short is ridiculous.

I don't know about that. Reynolds, Rheese and Wernick will surely point him in the right direction. I know Miller is a huge part of the success, but let's not forget who else was involved.

Judging from the short, I'd say he knows how to handle the material.

A great start for Leitch!

Didn't say Deadpool 2 would automaticaly fail, just that this short has gotten me worried since it was a good joke that i found to be badly executed.

Then the entire audience in my theater must have been just as out of touch, as barely anyone laughed at the short. People laughed much more at the comedic scenes from Logan, which wasn't even a comedy film to begin with. From what i'm seeing, i wasn't te only one to notice this, even filmcrithulk brought the failures of the short film up and had some people sharing that their theater audience didn't realy care for it either.

I hope Deadpool 2 is good, i just didn't found this short film to be so.
