That things godamn perfect.
Now that we ruled that out of the way and that we know the tone they're going for, I'm way more interested in Wade Wilson rather than Deadpool. I just reread Deadpool and Death Annual 1998 today and I'd really love them to recreate those Workshop days to a T in movie form.
I know the original script had some of that in it but I'd love even more time dedicated to those days and the Death interactions. The antagonizing Francis part and giving hope to the other rejects really reads like a prison scene from the likes of The Green Mile or the Shawshank Redemption.
I have a thing with prison movies/tv series, I think. There's just something raw and amazing about the way of living and the defiant stands against authority that makes it a compelling watch for me. Shows like Oz or Orange is the New Black are something right up my alley...
