Aww, well that sucks, I hope that's not the case. She should be a mutant and she should have powers. Maybe not full on shapeshifting, maybe more camouflage abilities, chameleon-like, but something!

In the comics Wade doesn't know she's a mutant right away so that may be built up for another arc.

But yeah, old script didn't have her as a mutant.

I don't mind her looking like this:

It's not like movie Mystique had smooth skin. Hers was all scaly, and she wore clothes. I think Morenna would look great like that, and since Deadpool is a character that breaks the fourth wall, then how serious or gritty can this movie really be? So a more outrageous costume should fit the tone.

Besides, if Deadpool is getting his comics costume, and none of the X-Men characters have ever gotten comic accurate versions of theirs, then it must mean that they're taking a different approach to this movie. So let Morenna dress just like this:
