Deadpool Deadpool Spin-off Confirmed - Part 2

Deadpool can't exist without Wolverine, it started there.

Reynolds for Deadpool.
Jon Hamm for Cable.
And bring on X-Force next!
X-Force + X-Men vs Apocalypse in final battle.

where are the users that always said Fox wont ever do Deadpool? :D

wont be surprised if Fox announces X-Force next year, for a 2017 release date, its just a matter of time, so either 2017 or 2018.

Deadpool After Credit Scene:

Dark screen. The sound of keys opening a door. The door opens, lighting up the room.

-Honey. I'm home... Aw, right. I'm horribly lonely.

Deadpool walks in. He sees a figure infront of the window. Casting a shadow into the room.

- Hey creeper, get out. I'm sick of you hobos pissing on my couch. Shoo!

The figure turns around. It's Wolverine.

- HEEY! Leopold!

- I'm putting together a special team. Wolverine says.

Voice over: -"X- FORCE. Coming Soon!"

Cuts to: Deadpool- "To a theater near you!"
Deadpool points to the screen. *winks*

Fin.

i expect a budget similar to what dredd got 35-45 mil

i think some may be over fantasizing how its gonna be a huge hit but i think fox are taking a risk but will still be careful

if deadpool turns out to be motion capture like in the footage then it might be abit of a bigger budget

So this caught my eye.
Tim Miller is directing the superhero film with Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel’s Kevin Feige producing.
What does that mean? I know he was involved in the movies with Fox and Sony back in the day when Marvel was independent studio but what is he doing working with Fox now. I thought Disney and Fox were enemies and that Disney wants them to fail to get the rights to these characters back.

He gets executive produer credit on anything Marvel related. It doesn't necessarily mean he's working directly on the project.

It's likely an error.Feige hasn't got a credit on Fox film since FF rise of silver surfer. The only non MS film he got a credit on since MS started was the amazing Spider-man back in 2012.

I'm not a Deadpool fan but i'm happy for the die-hards to finally see this getting off the ground after a considerable time in development hell (New Line Cinema had the rights at one point).

It's going to be interesting to see what the tone of the film will be and how it fits within the rest of the X-Men cinematic universe.
Rob Liefeld confirmed that the Deadpool rights are currently under the X-Men IP. As long as Fox has X-Men, they have Deadpool. That's how Wade Wilson was able to appear in X-Men Origins and the current Daedpool script features Colossus (an X-Men character) in a prominent supporting role. The right's are a non-issue.

Interesting, i didn't know Colossus was involved.

Interesting, i didn't know Colossus was involved.

In previous leaked script there was reference made to Xavier via negative comments by Deadpool.

Colossus being in final version of film depends on plans for larger X-Men film universe and when Deadpool will take place.

Colossus? I don't see how that could possibly work. If they need a big, smashy character they should use Juggernaut.

It works cause Colossus
serves as the guy whos trying to convince Deadpool to fight for the good guys and stop the destruction. Does not work succesfully of course.

JUggernaut would not do that. He's just another guy to fight. Colossus or Cable work better cause they add the moral conflict.

Deadpool can't exist without Wolverine, it started there.

Deadpool script has no Weapon X. The Workshop is more important.

I'll never say no to more Colossus, it just seems like a stretch. If they can make it work though, that's A-OK with me.

to me, that would be awesome if its Cable instead, introducing us to the next lead actor of the franchise

It's pretty awesome and funny. Colossus fans should be happy if he's still in cause he has a ton of dialogue compared to the X-Men films.

He's replaceable with any good moral character though.
yeah, its such a great feeling to see Fox finally exploring new characters. Now I have the confidence that they will do X-Force right after Deadpool. Will be f**** awesome to see Cable and his team and more than likely a team-up with Deadpool, with or against him. The potential for crossovers at Fox right now is crazy

That's what I would think. But always tough to tell.

most fans have been saying for years that Fox wouldnt ever do Deadpool, and look where we are now.

So since there is a Xforce script already, its just about when. Deadpool appeared in 2009, so it took him just 5 years, not too much if we are honest, so... since Fox are more open than ever now, lets say 2018 at the latest, just 4 years from now.

Now that Deadpool is happening, the next big Marvel property a lot people will want to see is a movie about a certain King of an African nation named Wakanda.

And Ms Marvel.

Hope so.

Wow that's low,Simple comedies have a budget like that

I think something like 100-120M would be better

Predators had a budget of $40 mil. There's no need for Deadpool to be much higher and there's no way in hell it will happen anyway.

Since it was leaked ages ago I dunno if i can see them using that same script now

I'm sure it's been updated. Especially with the resetting of X-Men's world and changing of pop culture. But that thing was so well widely received (same as the footage) that I don't think it will be heavy re writes.

Can't see Tim MIller, Reynolds and Rhett Reese completely changing the film the have been trying to get made all this time. I know some of the pop culture stuff will have to be updated for sure.

$50 million is the previously stated budget by the writers, in regards to keeping the budget as low as possible, while staying true to the filmmakers vision.

agreed. There will be some updates, for sure, but not a completely different movie

Yeah. They stuck to their guns about it in interviews.

Really looking forward to the casting. Still hoping for Jay Baruchel as Weasel. Blind Al should be interesting casting.

Netflix isn't even available in a lot of countries so the exposure he will get will be a lot lesser than the average movie Marvel makes

Which is why I use the term 'Relegated'

Gotcha, netflix is def available enough though and puts out some high quality TV, he's gonna get some awesome treatment. This is set to kick off a pretty big deal, Marvel wouldn't push him as the front runner and take the risk if it wasn't gonna reach an audience. If Daredevil failed then no Defenders, Luke Cage, Iron Fist or Jessica Jones. Lot at stake already. It has to make a big impact.

I hope Fox and the director find a great supporting cast, hopefully with one A-list as the main villain. A strong cast would help to sell this movie to the non fans

Yeah, gotta cast a good sinister actor as Ajax.

Maybe Helen Mirren as Blind Al haha.
