Several of Pixar's movies have been dedicated to prominent Pixar animators who have passed. For Finding Nemo, the dedication for Glenn McQueen came before the end credits, and before the little epilogue thingie. I don't have Cars, but IIRC, the dedication for Joe Ranft also came right before the end credits. That way, the audience will not have gotten up yet, but it also doesn't disturb the pacing and tone of the movie.mmm.. probably not before the credits.
if it were an actor, then yeah, that would make sense, but this guy was just one of many crew members of a rather large production crew.
not trying to cheapen his death by saying this, but if they do "pay tribute" to him in the credits, it will most likely be at the very, very end of the credits.
more of a lasting impression, being the last thing people will see.
It's completely up to them if they were to do it, but Chris Nolan basically does use the same crew in each of his movies, so maybe he does know the guy well enough to put a dedication in.
. A man died and one of the first things people think to talk about are their concerns for the movie? This is crap.
