Dexter - Part 2

if they kill off dexters only anchor to the world...he might just let his dark passenger take control of him and kill just because its in him. even though he does that now, instead of doing it to criminals that skate on technicalities.

Even though the incest angle is really disturbing, it fits with Debra. Her personal life is so screwed up that it seems her inner thoughts would lead her this way; also the psychiatrist planting the idea in her head didn't help at all.

It won't go beyond thoughts, though, because no way would Dexter engage her in that way.

That's the thing, techniqually it's not incest.

Technically it's not. There are adopted siblings who have ended up together.

The point is, to them, it is incest. They don't feel about each other like that. As far as Deb and Dex are concerned, they are brother and sister and always have been. They were so young at the time, that they might as well be.

It really seems just to be a way to explore Debra's crazy mindset that she really doesn't understand what love even truly means, so she does not know what her love for Dex means. I don't think it will end up with them together, Dex would NEVER go for it, haha.

It's f**** up for the actors too. They were married. They play step brothers. They had to kiss. That's twisted :p

Dexter season 6 final trailer

Anyone else think that ,that last image of Deb (with the voiceover of Dex saying ''oh my god'') is her watching Dexter kill Travis from across the other building.

Deb was in love with Brian as well right before she found out he was ITK.

The writers are setting up a mirror of the first season.

They aren't doing this deb love dex thing without reason.

This looks like it's going to be the most unexciting season finale of the series. Only thing looking forward to is Deb knowing about Dexter (hopefully it happens) and the thing about Louis.

Can't say I'm excited either. This whole season has been predictable crap. The Louis stuff if the only thing the show has going for it, and that's only picked up in the last two episodes. But it has me really interested to see what they have planned for him.

Yeah, the build-up this season is weak, but I'm far more interested on the consequences, the writers must know by now this is their weakest entry so far, they should raise the stakes and prepare us for the next season.
Deb MUST have a central role. It's one of the best cards they have.

I don't see this happening.

The finale will some how incorporate a higher power in Dexter's philosiphy.

I think the season will end with the Travis being defeated by some kind of devine intervention.

Deb will learn Dexter's secret and will be conflicted whether to turn him into a corrupt system that has betrayed her or to let him go after gleaning an understanding of who Dexter really is. I would like to see something deliciously twisted bloom from this revelation.

Quinn is dead. He's outlived his function in the show and there needs to be a casualty in Miami Metro.

Maria is going to be set-up as the antagonist and I don't see her lasting past next season.
I just don't see Travis being defeated like you said, that is something you will not see in this show imo, maybe in SUPERNATURAL only ha ha! All shows remain skeptic and we most likely will end up with Dexter narrating something like "whether God or a higher power exists or not, idk".

And about Deb, I disagree with all of you and your bragging about her finding out already! While it WOULD be INTERESTING, imo she doesn't need to find out now, it is way too early to find out that her "brother" is a serial killer, we have 2 more seasons going on after this one! And if she does find out, she'll turn Dexter in sooner or later. Also you all act like Deb would take this pretty well, but I think if she finds out this, it will be devastating for her! LOOK at what happened to Harry!!! And Deb is more WEAK than her father!! Plus, think the s..t's she's been through all seasons! How would you feel if you found out ur bro or sis is a serial killer? Even if they take out BAD people. Would you be OK knowing someone in your family takes out a human life? They won't do this from a fan's perspective, but from DEBRA's perspective and this would shock her as hell cause she's not like Dexter, she is very emotional!

On Quinn and Maria LaGuerta idk how I feel, Quinn is nothing interesting so far, but he could remain as a cop there. LaGuerta needs to be PWNed by Debra, that's for sure!
I'll be shocked if Louis is the "big bad" for the next season. After all, how else will they be able to bring their next super duper guest star in for the next season? :cwink:

I'm set for a big reveal, even though I really don't feel like this season deserves it. The great thing about Rita's death is that it was the icing on the cake of a majestic fourth season. This season doesn't really feel like it's earned the right to go out with a bang especially since so much of it has just had that feeling of "going through the motions" and had the feeling it just going to peter out.

I should probably shut up and just enjoy whatever they throw at me if it makes this season even slightly worthwhile :cmad:

so my prediction for the final episode

I think Travis kills Harrison and Bautista's sister, Dexter full on revenge mode goes after Travis, only to find out that someone (Loius) has got to him and killed him first in the exact same way that Dexter does (on the table), this causes Dex to get pissed off cause he is robbed of his revenge . I think Lious will become a copy cat killer
If Louis becomes that, it would be kinda boring. I wish they would bring Danco next season (showing his kill scenes would be so gruesome and awesome in the same time!), but I definetly want to see what happens with Louis also!

I totally agree! If they kill Harrison, they will "destroy" Dexter. His progress on being more human might just be wiped off. Totally.

harrison pushed travis off the roof!!

that would be epic
lmao

I think the writers were purposely treading water this season because they knew the show was going to be renewed for a few more seasons and they did not want to blow their wad on anything ( like deb finding out bout dexter/ dexter manhunt etc. etc.). I'm not justifying it, i'm just saying i think that is the reasoning behind this season's disappointing pace and storylines.

It could be. The worst thing is the 'killer' of the season. Everything that doesn't belong to the Hanks Jr storyline is still strong imo.

I think they didn't know it was going to be renewed till it was finished filming because hall didn't agree to a contract till the filming of the last episodes then a few days later they said 2 more years.

so they might have been pretty tame because they didn't know what was going to happen to dexter contract and season wise.

hmm looking back at season 6 promo image perhaps they were telling us something

^really trailer has me pumped how is it unexciting ?

Like some people have been saying, the whole season has been predictable. The reveal of Gellar being in Travis' mind the whole time was very weak considering you could had seen that miles away since the season started. Travis turned into a psychopath after he knew the truth about Gellar and himself, making the villain of the season very uninteresting. Also, Dexter is being sloppy as hell you would think he knows better since his actions prompted the murdering of his wife in season 5.

When it comes to the season finale, they won't kill off Harrison. Seems like the writers took the easy route by putting in danger Dexter's own son, and we know they won't kill a baby on the show.

They do show they have good ideas that can be turned into potential great storylines, but they drop them off very early or take another direction which seem to be boring and predictable -- in my opinion.
