Dexter - Part 2

Great episode. It does kinda bother me that even after getting caught and clearly seeing that Deb isn't goinv to leave it alone he's still worrying about a kill. I understand its therapeutic for him but put it on the back burner dude. And why didn't he lie and say that those slides were Doakes or Brian's? Would that have worked?

What I'm more interested in is Louis. He gets more and more interesting. And I still want a Quinn and Batista spinoff.

Found it kind of stupid that he did a kill inside of an airport. Granted it was pass the allotted time but still.

Him saying all those slides were Doakes' or Brian's would be pretty hard to believe since she also found all his tools. Even without them she wouldn't buy it.

I am not convinced Dexter would have gotten away with a kill like that in a real airport. Like they wouldn't have any cameras in lost luggage? The way some folks seem to make money off of it, you'd think they'd have security all over the place. Still was a great episode even if it wasn't always realistic.

Right Dexter needs to be more careful. I'd like it if the writers found a way to blame his sloppiness on Rita's death (that's what I like to tell myself when he does some dumb ****).

But maybe he could've said he was obsessed with finding out more about his past and his brother's so that's why he had the slides and "his" tools to maybe try and learn more about him? I dunno, I just don't think he should've told on himself so easily.

the airport kill and mike anderson was all about making all the stories/characters connect. Careless, and forced...but obviously necessary for where the season is going.

As soon as Mike got shot I thought "Well, that was convenient. Now they have a plot for the episode." He just happened to stop to help a guy change his tire, who had a dead body in the trunk and then shot him. It was so unnatural and came out of nowhere.

But now we have the Ukranian mob plot.

Do you suppose Mike got killed off because the actor moved on to star in Sons of Anarachy? I recognized him right away in the SOA premiere.

I thought it was really dumb that Mike randomly decided to open the trunk like they were friends or something... not sure what the law is with that, but no warrant lol

Wow I'm an idiot. Did not realize Mike is the same guy on SOA as the right hand man of Pope. But being on SOA probably gives him a juicier role.

It does from the little ive seen him on SOA he's better than in Dexter

He'll have more to do I suppose. I did like him enough in Dexter that I was sad to see him go. I was hoping he might stick around to be in BOTH shows, not just one. :(

The opener to Season 7 still had the loose/convenient writing that S5 and especially S6 had, but the energy and excitement that punctuated earlier seasons (in particular, S2 and S4) is back, and to be honest, at this point that's what's important.

Plus, Dexter is in its SEVENTH season. We need to realize how hard it is to keep up such quality for so long. It had its lapses with S5/S6, but now it's hopefully rediscovered its stride, which is impressive all things considered.

I dunno. I rather liked both of the last two seasons. But I do agree that maintaining quality gets harder over time. I mean, how much stuff can happen to one guy over time? It's hard to keep the good stories coming.

People love to complain about seasons 5 and 6, but I still consider season 3 to be the weakest. And I think seasons 1 & 2 are better than 4.

There was a camera right outside the doors when he snuck in. Maybe we are to assume he did something to the cameras or maybe it will come back to haunt him and Deb will help him out and that will be her acceptance of who he really is.

thought I recognised him from somewhere, he was Abeds and Troys friend Lukka

After the stinker of last season, my hopes weren't high, but this first episode started strongly. Plot developments that I thought they'd take almost a whole season to slowly roll out were zoomed through over the course of a single episode, launching us into unknown territory going forward. I'm intrigued to see what happens next!

Lol, so he's been on two shows, and been a mass murderer and/or serial killer in both. And one was in a sitcom. :woot:

This killed the ep for me. An airport is now one of the most surveillance buildings in the U.S.

Decent ep. Debra's constant questions (even though understandable) is very annoying. As much as i'd like her to die this season, i think this whole season is going to be about Dexter proving Harry wrong and that Debra will indeed accept him now that she knows the real him.

I'm glad they're re-visiting the Ice Truck Killer/Doakes/Laguetta blood slid..has potential.

I don't know about you guys, but it's freaking Tuesday and I can't wait until Sunday... Oh how I've missed this feeling.

synopses for episodes 6, 7 and 8 are out... I'm not reading them, but thought I'd throw it out there

i've got a strange feeling that it will be Deb that kills Laguerta
