Dexter - Part 3

Five straight solid episodes?

What?

Oh yea!

That scene between Isaak and Dexter was, in my opinion, on par with the tension and competition between Dexter and Trinity.

I'm loving this season. It feels so good to have Dexter back. I just hope it lasts and isn't too good to be true.

lol ya know, Dex could just say, [blackout]hey, Louis was a psycho who stalked me and hated Miami Metro.. he just got fired... he killed Viktor.' [/blackout] i am deeply angered that [blackout]Louis's story ends this vaguely and this stupidly..[/blackout]

i had high hopes.

^^ I was just going to say that! Only an idiot would confess to a murder on one of those, not to mention Dexter's name will be in the prison log. He can't hide the fact that he was there.

I also can't believe how they keep talking about EVERYTHING WHILE AT WORK. With all the other police!

LIke no one would see Deb sharing that secret file with Dex that she was supposed to be keeping private. They take too many risks.

5 episodes in, and I can now feel quite safe in saying that Dexter Season 7 is the best season of the show since Season 4. This could largely be down to having the best villain since Season 4. Ray Stevenson is absolutely killing it as Isaak: threatening, dangerous, and more than a little cool too. It's funny how short-lived my disappointment over Louis' early demise has proven to be, as Issak is a much better foil for Dexter. It's nice to see him matched against someone who could be his equal.

Issak isn't the only good thing about this season, though. In a show notable for giving its supporting cast some truly dreadful subplots, all of a sudden it seems like everyone has something compelling to do. Even LaGuerta! And it seems that this season that the department has finally become somewhat competent, making these characters all more of a tangible threat to Dexter as opposed to lumbering oafs trailing miles behind him. Just in general, this sense of Dexter being beset on all sides from all manner of crises and challenges makes for a gripping dynamic.

I was just about ready to give up on this show after the atrocious Season 6, but the showrunners have won me back!

I think the lack of a Louis pay-off is simply due to a result of how awful season 6 was that there really was never any bigger point to the guy aside from being a casual annoyance. To this season's credit at least they dealt with it quickly and got it out of the way rather than continuing to drag it out any longer.

the only saveable moments of season 6 for me were with brother sam, and Angel's sister.

Solid episode, despite we see less & less killing and blood lol! I love Isaak, I love Hannah (it's quite obvious now that she is also a killer, but I hope she won't bit the dust in this season ,I hope there's more to her) and I love how things are going between Deb & Dexter atm! It's interesting! I'm quite excited (less excited, but still excited) about Quinn's storyline too! This season might stand up there with S1 & S4 if it continues to get better & better.

I still have hope that Louis survived the gun shot to the FACE and ends up being "Coney" Dexter's long lost cousin.

i have only watched the season premiere and I can tell its on par with season 4.

"We are in a storm of ****." Is that not one of the greatest lines or what?

Did you accidentally watch the wrong show last night? Isaak owned 3 people with blood all over the place :woot:

i was kind of partial to 'Mother****ing suckbag'. I feel like Jennifer Carpenter is like that in real life.

Why are people under the impression Issac is Dexter equal, Dexter outsmarted him and Issac only pulled through because of sheer luck and keeping a composed manner in a fight to the death. If that bartender had better aim Issac head would have been blown clean of.

Wow, things are going FAST.
Another solid episode.
Almost perfect season so far.

Better aim? It's not like he just shot at Isaac and missed. Isaac ducked because he's quick on his feet.

its 5 episodes in... im sure Isaak will get him back..

he keeps mentioning Deb... just saying......but i stand by my point Deb will never die... maybe very injured or beaten or something... something that makes her tell dex to go kill the SOB.

I think LaGuerta is going to get framed for the BHB. well... not as the actual BHB but his copy cat...

I liked last nights episode. This season has been really good, so far.
