Oh man. On some real ****, seeing a psycho Tom Hanks??? Just the sheer thought arouses me. He's too A-list though. Give us somebody like James Cromwell or ooohhh what about Alec Baldwin??? THAT would be SICK

Dunno why you all brag about? One episode is great, then you all praise the whole season as if it's the BEST THING EVER! The one episode is less good and you all complain about the whole season!:o

Last night's ep. was good imo, not among the best this season, but I'm still thrilled for this season more than I was for S5 & S6! I like Hannah's character, I like her attitude and I do hope there is more to her, I really don't want her dead at the end of this season, there's obviously a powerful attraction between her & Dex and it can be that he was wrong about her, it would be a twist. Isaak getting out of prison is good news, he is surely gonna do some bada$$ *****! Preview for next episode got me very excited. :)

Right?!? What I think people aren't really getting is that Hannah IS NOT Lumen, or especially Rita in the sense that Dexter has NEVER had anybody in his life who knows about him in this way AND accepts him truly though we still don't know what the result will be. He has two people now who accept him for who and what he is and not only are they about to butt heads epically but we also have Laguerta as the wild card. Or maybe Isaak is the wil card. Still, it's just so awesome seeing somebody Dexter can relate to on a real level. I'm actually sitting here watching Notorious on Bio and it's about Charles Starkweather and Carol Ann Fugate and anybody that thinks this story isn't based off them is just dense. Well, maybe just Wayne and her but this is like seeing a grown Carol Ann after Starkweather's death trying to move on. Just absolutely beautiful. I ****ing LOVE this story arc. If Hannah dies, I will bawl like a little baby. I just want Dexter happy at least once. Real and truly just once if at least for a moment

it would be awesome if tom hanks or kevin spacey did dr danco for the final season
As much as I want that character to be in the last season, I have a feeling they will end it with no Big Bad, and no to Tom Hanks after seeing what his progeny has done to Dexter I don't think he shouldn't touch it.

I knew we were going to have to slow down the season eventually, this was an okay episode- not amazing but I don't think it was **** either. Stuff happened and the plot moved forward on the Hannah front. If/when Deb finds out Dexter is sleeping with Hannah his whole "I'm a necessary evil" defense is going to look a WHOLE lot flimsier.

I thought it was another good episode. This season has been really good, so far.

I totally agree man! Idk why da FAK is everyone saying Hannah IS like Lumen!! FFS the characters are so different , the only thing I can find in common is the fact that they are blonde! Jeez!

Uhu

This is shaping up as one of my favorite seasons, no doubt about it. I specially like how they're digging plot points from previous seasons. That must be hard for the writers, searching back then, which characters know and don't know specific stuff.

I did catch a goof up: Harry killed himself when he stumbled in on Dexter, he didn't die of heart disease.

i figured he was just referencing how common it is to have heart disease. but ya i noticed that too.

Still enjoyed this episode but it feels apparent that the writers are juggling a lot of storylines at this point and weaving them together never goes so smooth (especially when it comes to the secondary characters) but with this episode being for me the first somewhat weak (but still good) so far this season I'm optimistic they'll do better, especially if returning to status quo is not an option (and it should never be in my opinion). Also I like Yvonne but this Hannah storyline feels so strained and rushed, but this does set up some interesting scenarios and at least Deb's onto her, can't wait for Deb's reaction to Dex's tampering with another case when he just made a promise not to.

as for people comparing Rita and Lumen to Hannah... well they are kind of pushing that on us... Deb and Dex talking about it and stuff is partially meant for us to make the comparisons.

Personally i hope Hannah doesnt stick around for the whole season... i just don't dig Dexter and relationships.... not to mention a relationship with the type of person he hunts. meh.

Isaak is the ****ing man though... he is on his way to being one of the best characters the show has had.

I think multiple storylines has been normal in previous seasons, we follow each character a little bit, and every piece comes together at the end (some ways better than others), but I'm glad the plot is convoluted enough, you never really know what's going to happen next. From that point of view, I think the season has been pretty good.
For example, we didn't exactly know what was the deal with Quinn early on in the season, but now he's becoming an important piece against Dexter -without him knowing-. I think that's pretty interesting.

I do feel this episode slowed things down, but it set things up for what's gonna happen next.

What I'm loving about this season is how all the past seasons are being weaved into the narrative. You had the Ice Truck Killer of Season 1 coming back, with the hand earlier on with the Louis subplot and with Debra's flashbacks to being on the table at the end of the first season. You've got the Bay Harbour Butcher story of Season 2 coming back into play, with LaGuerta trying to revive the investigation. The spectre of Trinity and Rita's death in Season 4 has hung over much of the Dexter/Debra conflicts. With this episode Lumen and the Jordan Chase/"women in a barrel" came into the fold once more, with LaGuerta linking it to the Bay Harbour Butcher and Lumen as a loose end possibly teasing her future reappearance. And of course you had the Doomsday case of Season 6 being wrapped up early this season.

The only thing missing really is callbacks to Season 3. I suppose you have the aspect of them recalling Quinn's beginnings as a dirty cop back when he was inroduced in Season 3. But nothing yet as regards the Prado storyline. LaGuerta was immersed in that one too, so it's not too late for that to get brought back.

i kind of felt like it was forced that LaGuerta put the BHB/Jordan Chase stuff together.

I don't see why. She's a smart cop, it's perfectly reasonable that she would start thinking about killers who were positively identifies but never seen again

Plus the bloodslides were BHB's trademark. Seeing another is going to bring her right back to that.

well Deb even said the theory of Chase having the other guys killed and fleeing the country... which makes much more sense... especially since Lundy always said the BHB is a lone wolf... now laguerta thinks he brought on an accomplice, and even said it could of been one of the victims of the chase crew... even though there is no evidence what so ever of that.

meh... i like where its going and all, but that was pushed IMO.

and yes, i am looking too much into it :hehe:

Yeah but it becomes a bit of a lull when most secondary characters doesn't have much going on to make them interesting than the usual, they're side−plots in the end I know but this season's a bit better when it comes to characters like keeping LaGuerta busy with the BHB case and Quinn but something like Angel's side−plot with the retirement and buying a restaurant, it's feels quite plain what'll happen to him so I just don't pay much attention to it and the thing is I like Angel but there's as far as it goes, I feel like I'm nitpicking too much but it's not my intentions.

I still have high hopes for the Angel/Quinn spin off.

I have doubts this will happen. As interesting as they are, teh pair don't have the pull that Dexter does. It would be just another cop buddy show and we've had plenty of those already. :(

lol i was joking... a spinoff of them two smoking weed all day.
