I really would have liked a final conversation between the two of them after Dexter had injected her. The real fun of the Dexter revelation scene is the other character getting to see him in serial killer mode and she never got to really face off against him.

Seriously... If Harry isn't a HUGE character next season, i will be very upset. Harry and Dexter moments are among my favorite.

another funny thing.. Dex was going to make it look like LaG. and Estrada shot each other.... but he would have to dispose of the plastic wrap with all the blood. eh... im not saying it is sloppy.... but it bugs the hell out of me that Dex can figure things out so easily, but everybody else are a bunch of dumbasses.

The outcome of the season finale was kind of predictable, but the final twist wasn't, It's pretty anoying that we have to wait until october to start the next season

Awesome episode I knew there was only one way it could end but never did I expect Deb. I have to say she has really come a long way this season in the way she approaches Dex. Am I the only one who thought at the end that Dex was gonna really kiss Deb as the ball dropped? I mean they have come this far together, when it comes down to it Dex will always pick Deb ,like she will always pick Dex.The most disappointing thing about this episode, I didn't get to see Masuka come out as baby new year, really producers how could you tease me with that and not deliver.

I loved the finale, so moving! I loved the fact that you had no idea what was going to happen next and even if you did, it turned out with a twist! I really wanted the Deb/Dex relationship to work, but after last night, it will never work. Hannah escaping was not expected (I expected her either to die or be imprisoned for life) until I saw her with her friend, then it was kinda obvious she was "cooking" something. I wouldn't mind if Hannah/Dex worked out, but knowing now that she did poisoned Deb, it will never work imo. Still, I wonder what will happen with her next season (assuming she will come back, she might as well disappear, but I hope not as I liked Hannah). Doakes flashbacks were good, I'm glad they've shown more. Despite all his suspicions of Dex, they had some sort of respect towards eachother.

Overall, the season is fantastic and remains in my Top3, but heck, I pretty much loved all of the Dexter seasons, including the weakest (5).

edit : okay, i forget to mention he DID learn something new from her in that he doesn't have a "dark passenger ", but even still, i think he could've learned that on his own somehow.

That he doesn't have to follow the code. The DP is always there because he continued killing regardless.

I would welcome it, I buy Matthews to be a more legitimate threat and the actor certainly brings more charisma to the screen than LaGuerta did.

Also, all of his one liners to rip LaGuerta have been awesome this season.

John Lithgow wins it for me.
Season 1 was fresh. Something new, and a well rounded arc.
This season really pushed things forward overall.
Season 6 had some great themes - it just started dropping the ball once they brought back Rudy. VERY strong start though.
Season 2, 3 and 5 I didn't really like. The girl in Season 2 was so annoying, and with Season 2, they were quick to dramatically change aspects of different characters to the point where it was just sloppy writing.
Season 3 was so bad - it was like a ****** re-hash of Season 2 but without the thrill of Doakes and the BHB.
Season 5 was pointless. Horrible.

People are quick to remember the latter part of a season more so than the rest. People only love Season 2 because of the last couple episodes - same reason people hate season 6. That ranking is after having watched each season a number of times.

One moment I loved from tonight was when Deb and Dexter were in the van talking and Deb hears Estrada in the back had me laughing my ass off. Deb just looked at Dex and got out and walked off without saying a word hahaha I couldn't stop laughing
