I agree this season has been pretty awesome it had some lulls but overall it's been
a great season.
 
I too think Deb drugged herself...but maybe it was Hannah drugged up friend..?

Sad to see Dex turn in Hannah.

Makes you wonder if Hannah doesn't return the favor and that's why Dex gets arrested (as shown in the promo).
 
I love going into this finale with no idea of what is going to happen.

:up: Feels a lot different from last season, when everybody could see the huge "twist" coming from a mile away.
 
It looks too much to me that Dexter is going to end up in cuffs.

Doesnt mean next season will be a trial. Just means he will probably escape in the first episode next season. Next season will be the attempt to get away. Then he will be caught & executed via Electricity.
 
Like I said in the previous page,I think next season will be Dex vs Deb.
 
I really cant see Deb turning fully on Dexter. Especially since he turned in the woman he loved for her.

She might have to hunt him do to her job. If he escapes.
 
I just don't see how a full season on the run or on trial could work realistically.

By being extremely dragged out and being boring... He will make a few stops on the way... Probably live with jonah... grow marijuana in the fields of Nebraska... sell it to Batista who uses his restaurant as a cover.... Quinn covers for him...

Boom. Series Finale.
 
Not a fan of Dexter on the run or on trial for the final season it's far to late in the game for such a dramatic shift. A move like that would be eqalivent to Roseanne going from poor to rich in the final season , it dragged the entire show down.
 
THe only way Dexter on the run would work i think would be if they only did it for a few eps. I cant imagine a whole season like that

So basically one long law and order episode ?
 
Man screw a trial. Seriously that is just not Dexter. I'm all for shaking up the formula...but not throwing it completely away. A trial seems like it would take away a lot of aspects that make the show great.
 
We have been watching a criminal all these years. A trial is the most logical, & less tragic ending. That or he gets caught by another "BHB", & he is the one trying to justify his actions to a person like him.
 
Criminals are not always caught look at zodiac killer. Sometimes serial killers just go into hypernation like the btk killer or jack the ripper.
 
I'd actually love if he got caught by another killer like him.
 
Man, based on some of the posts here I feel like I'm the only one who wants a happy ending for Dexter.
 
Same here. I want him to be happy but he's built up some bad karma along the way.
 
I can't believe some people here want to see Dexter get away with everything. HE CAN'T! If he does, they can just add more pointless seasons, if they so choose. I want to see Dexter dead! Fried in an electric chair. A definitive end. He can't just sail off into the sunset. There will be no happy ending for Dexter. NONE!

"A trail would be so boring!" No. It wouldn't. Not if it's made right. This dude has been haunting Miami for how many years? How many people has he killed? Even though we kind of know what goes on inside of Dexter's head, the people around him don't know jack, and it would be cool to see their reactions to what he has done. All great serial killers have trials that are very interesting. Look back on history. And it doesn't have to be a whole season. It could be like 3 episodes or something. With flashbacks to kills we have never seen. People need to see the monster that is Dexter Morgan. It'd be cool to see an ending shot of him looking at the people right before they flip the switch on him.

Its all my opinion though. Its what I want to see. I've seen enough and every which way of Dexter killing somebody. You guys really want to watch another 12 episodes of the same thing? Let's make it interesting. Maybe the people would want to free him because of his code and what he kills for. He would have supporters. Like he has day dreamed of before.
 
The only happy ending I want for Dexter, is as an old man he has his blood slides. which, i dont really want to happen.. but IF it has to be a happy ending.

The trial just brings up too much... i feel like the season would be 90% filler crap. I could be wrong, no doubt... but it seems like it would be a pretty simple case... either Dexter gets rid of his tools and **** quickly and they have no evidence that isnt circumstantial... or they get all his stuff and hes done.

It is really difficult to know which way the next season is going to go, especially since this season isn't over. I really don't expect the finale to give us much to go on for next season, im predicting a big cliffhanger.

That being said, I'd be for Dex being on trial for a couple of episodes... but proven innocent... I don't want Dex convicted and ruining so many peoples lives.

Hell, they don't have enough on him now to do anything do they? it all mostly points to Doakes.

I like everyone's ideas in a way... its just hard to see some of them happening... we need this finale! can't wait.


they certainly CANT end the BHB storyline this season.. if they do it will be just as bad as Louis's storyline...a complete waste.
