i know what you mean , every week i always think to myself , " god , i wish this week would just end already so that i could watch the next episode of dexter ! "

I hate it when shows are this good. I almost wish I hadn't heard about Dexter until after this season ended so I could watch all the episodes back-to-back without waiting.

My God tonights episode was amazing beyond words, one of the best episodes of this season so far that I've seen I can not wait till next sundays episode. :)

what an episode!!!!

Dex is either gonna A. Kill Doakes and find a way to make it look like a suicide (like the ITK), B. Knock doakes out and put his prints all over the kill knives... or C. I dont know what the hell hes gonna do...

i kinda thought the whole doakes/dexter confrontation at the end was another dream of dexters like the beginning of the episode, but i was wrong lol... that was the best scene in dexter so far IMO...

If Dexter was ever at a crossroads, this would be it. I love that the flashback had Harry asking Dexter about the rules, and Dexter first says "Make sure they deserve it," before saying the real first rule, "Don't get caught.". How's Dexter going to get out of this without breaking the "make sure they deserve it" rule? Which is going to hold more weight? Can he really kill Doakes to avoid getting caught?

the way i see it, he if he kills doakes, theyll know the BHB is someone else, if he doesnt kill doakes, doakes will tell themabout dexter and it will bring suspicion.... as of right now, NO ONE thinks it is dexter or even could be dexter....

the writers for this show are fantastic, this is well on its way to being one of the best shows to ever be on tv.

The most important rule is not to get caught for obvious reasons. In the end, Dexter has to do whatever it is to not get caught, even if that means breaking or bending other rules.

It will bring suspicion to Doakes. If he blames Dex everyone will just think of how he hated Dex and has been at him for so long.

depending on how in depth they go....the FBI will SURELY know about dex's background, and suspects who killed his mom, and jiminez could play a bigger part dead then he did alive,

the way i see it, we still got 3 episodes left....anything is possible, except dexter dying or gettin caught since season 3 is confirmed.

Or being revealed as a gay. As long as that doesn't happen, I think I will be good with pretty much whatever they come up with.

Dex will cripple Doakes... cops will think Doakes was a victim of the Bay Butcher and Dex gets to not break his rule about them having to deserve it...everybody wins, except for Doakes who will be crippled and pretty pissed off.

What would crippling Doakes do? He could still expose Dexter, and the fact that he's suddenly crippled would probably lend credence to his accusations, or at least divert suspicion from him enough to force the FBI to look into his accusations rather than just dismissing them as the ravings of a desperate man with a pre-existing vendetta against Dex.

Man...what an episode last night! They've got three episodes to wrap this season up with, which is a lot of time, really. I can't wait to see what twists and turns they take this whole thing through before it's over.

jag

This is quite possible one of, if not the best show on TV righ tnow.

It's definitely the show I'm most excited about from week to week. The only other shows I've been this excited for on a consistent basis are Dead Like Me, the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica, and Farscape. :)

OMG this ep was awesome!

I doubt Dex will kill Doakes but I have a feeling they'll come to some kind of an agreement. Cuz I bet Dex will find out something illegal about Doakes's black ops days and use that to black mail him.

Yeah, the choice of either killing Doakes, framing Doakes, or basically giving up and going to jail have been laid out too obviously for Dexter. I have a feeling there'll be some fourth option that we never see coming, like Lila tries to kill Rita and Dexter frames her for the BHB murders while coming to some kind of agreement with Doakes.

yea I also see Lila playing a role in this some how too.

I will be so pissed if this season ends w/ a cliffhanger.

i doubt doakes and dexter will 'reach some kind of agreement'. it's totally out of both their characterisations
