Dexter: Season 2

Ok so, go back a week or two, before the leaks were out and before it was definate that Dexter would come back for Season 3, and look at this final stretch.

Without knowing that theres a season 3, I'd be totally oblivious to what the hell is going to happen, and think that ANYTHING, including the death of Dexter is possible.

But knowing theres a third season will ruin it all!

eh not really as of the most recent episode have they even hinted that there is an imediate threat of him (Dexter) dieing? Doakes is the one captured in a cage. The only threat is that Dexter might be caught, nothing about him being killed. There is the arguement that Doakes could kill him but thats all speculation. Doakes needs Dexter alive to prove he is innocent, the evidence is still mounted against Doakes not Dexter. So how does knowledge of a third season ruin anything?

There is the possibility that he is captured and season 3 is his life in prison. Will he be able to find a way to continue to kill in prison, what will life be like for him and the others in the show.

And there is the possibility that season 3 is he still got away and know one knows who the BHB is.

they confirmed a 3rd season after like the first 4 episodes of season 2 broke all of showtimes records. so everyone shoulda known he wouldnt get caught or killed.

nothing will be ruined for people, IMO, the ending is as dexter-like as it coulda been. except...

whatthe hell was dex doing in paris? JUST to get lila? i doubt that, he says i gotta catch a flight, what did u do this all in one 24 hour period? he was in a nice collared shirt too, maybe him and deb or him a rita and the kids (or all 5 for that matter) went on vacation or something i dunno...

dammit i dont wanna wait til Sept 28 or Oct 5 for season 3, most likely sept 28th.

if dexter dies or gets caught, (ive already seen the finale im just not spoiling anyone) season 3 could be a prequel to season 1, which would be just a fine with me as a sequel season.... id love to see more of dexters early kills and earlier life with harry and stuff. it would be a completely different direction to go in from any other tv series ive seen. but in all honesty id rather have a continuation, not a preque or 'origin' story so to speak...dexters flashbacks show enough so i doubt a prequel would happen...

i thought of a good storyline for the 3rd season, dexter isnt the only person who kills murderers, and him and this other killer are chasing eachother. itk wasnt chasing dexter he was just playing games with him, this killer would actually be after him. Deb will definately find out in season 3,thats been a long time coming.

im still trying to figure out how laguerta is going to evolve.

thats what i was figuring too. i have a feeling for season 3 their gonna take a plot from book 2 and 3 as to where rita and dex get engaged....

the paris scene, im assuming it was atleast a couple weeks after dex saved the kids from the fire...

anyone else feel like terrible for Doakes, laguerta and doakes family? they have to live on thinking he butchered so many people.

I hope they have something good up their sleeve for season 3. I'd hate for the show to drop in quality.

I guess they could go with another serial killer, but I'd prefer something new...

Maybe have Dexter go after some really hard to get at "target" (like a well protected crime boss or politician)... having the season revolve around his planning, preparations (so Dexter would have some really elaborate plan for getting the dude) and probably a failed attempt mid-season, which leads to re-evaluating the plan.

Didnt Dexter say he was in a hurry he had a plane to catch, I took that as he flew there specifically for that and was heading back right away.

Dexter did mention at the end of the season 2 that he needs to re evaluate his rituals so maybe that will be one of them as well.

Yes there will be a season 3, i think its safe to assume it will be next year, same time as this season.
