It was an ID.

We're going to see a much more resentful and careful Dexter next season. He's seen now what could happen with his lifestyle, and he most definitely blames himself forThings are going to get very interesting.Rita's death.
BUT, we will get to have some great comedy opportunities for next season! Dexter Morgan: Single Dad! Deb will most certainly be taking a more motherly role.
Also, I sorta wish we could've seen the murder. I can't help but wonder what Trinity told Rita before doing it.

my thoughts EXACTLY. especially the first part.I knew Rita would die dammit...it ruined the episode for me.
I HATE spoilers and even though it was several weeks ago and it wasn't confirmed, the whole time i just knew it,from the fact that they've made her sympathetic and lovely this episode to the fact that it was obvious that someone was going to die.
Amazing episode nevertheless but i still feel it's too much of a stretch for Trinity to have killed her...if Rita didn't suppose to go somewhere it would've been better but this way it's way too much of a coincidence.

What.The.F***.
I can't believe Rita got killed.![]()
I wonder if it was Trinity or the neighbor. I'm sure it was Trinity though.
It's going to be weird without her though.
In the interview after the episode, Hall and Lithgow discuss that it was Trinity and how that impacts what he says on Dexter's murder table.
