Dexter

Too many loose ends. Aurthur's family isn't going to keep quiet about Kyle Butler. Quinn is bound to suspect Dexter for Rita's murder. Is it better for Dexter to cover up Rita's murder or to call it in? Either way there are going to be a lot of questions. And Dexter doesn't have an alibi (that's living anyway). Season 4 is going to be difficult to top villain-wise.

I love the show, loved the villain, love the season...up until the last 5 mins

It seems obvious that Trinity supposedly killed Rita (especially based on the interviews, and I'm not for conspiracy theories), but why would a money-hungry Trinity leave Rita's rings on her hand like he did? I noticed that they even focused on them. That's the only bit that makes me think twice about all this...

And what about the fact that Dex was arrested outside the same bank where Trinity emptied all of his accounts?

Well tons of people wanted her dead. But when it actually happened it was like oh **** they actually did it.

She was a bit annoying at the beginning of the season. But I didn't hate her at all. So seeing her at the end like that was really upsetting.

I do believe that Julie Benz/Rita will be back next season. I think she will now serve the same role as Harry, but from the other side of the fence. Harry always tries to tell Dexter that his dark passenger cannot be overcome, that it is his life and there is nothing he can do about it. I think Rita, in Dexter's subconcious, will oppose that view. Remeber what she told him before she died, that she refused to believe he was simply a monster, that she knew him better than he knew himself and that he could overcome the darkness. Those lines were important, and I think Rita will echo that in Dexter's mind.

That was my first thought after the episode was over. Have her be his human side when he feels he can't control his dark passenger.

i said earlier that if that does happen he'll tell them he was doing some undercover work cause he was on to Arthur, but Arthur found out and killed Rita

How exactly would he use that being as Dexter is not a police officer? He is a forensic consultant. He has no badge. Him being undercover would leave the Miami PD liable to all kinds of lawsuits, get Dexter fired and possibly arrested for withholding information/obstruction of justice.

a good as this episode was the highlight of the season imho is still the thanksgiving dinner

just saw the finale and I am at a lost for words. Easily better than last year's finale. Probably tied with season 2, IMO.

Wow great theory, I could totally see that next season.

To be honest,my biggest gripe was and still is 10 hours after i've seen it...the fact that i was certain that she was going to die.The whole episode i was noticing stuff that i usually wouldn't and was constantly hoping that the ending would be something else...Deb dying,Dexter is a distant cousin of Count Dracula,whatever...and when it happened i was so disappointed by the fact that i knew the ''shocking'' ending from the get go.

I whole-heartedly envy everyone that was surprised by the end...that had to be a terrifying and unexpected moment.

I hate spoilers more than anything...i still can't forgive myself for finding that Two-Face dies in TDK...in a thread about Dave Letterman 20 days before the movie.Same story here :csad::csad::csad:

24 hours from when the show aired.

I get that man, I'm in Australia...and am so far out of the time zone loop it's impossible to really know what's going on - especially on a message board.

I meant is it just a few hours left to go?

Where in Australia are you?

I think Dexter airs Sunday's at 9. Assuming they meant 24 hours from when it aired on the east coast of the US, and you live in east Australia, and I'm doing my timezone math right:

Dexter aired noon on Monday in Australia. So 24 hours would be noon on Tuesday for you.

Cheers dude, which is in about an hours time!

Glad to help.

Now, if they meant 9 on the US west coast, you have to add 3 more hours.

Nah, I was hoping for the same dude.

Quinn's constant hounding on Dexter about cheating on Rita might be interesting next season...I wonder if they'll continue with that storyline next season...but tweak it for certain reasons...

your right

Dexter Murders Showtime Records!

Dexter's season four finale on Sunday broke records for Showtime, making it the most-watched episode of an original series in network history!!
Wowsa!
There was a 71% increase from the season three finale as 2.575 million viewers tuned in at 9 p.m., and 3.078 million if the 11 p.m. replay is factored in. This is the first time a Showtime original series has taken in 3 million viewers on a single night.
We wonder what season five will hold!
