That's called a plot-twist.

If they showed Trinity actually breaking into Dexter's house and killing Rita, the discovery of her body wouldn't have been surprising now, would it?

Trinity knew who Dexter was. From that point on, it wasn't exactly rocket-science to put everything together and find out where he stayed. That's why Dexter was sweating bullets when he saw him at the police station.

Gee, how shocking he has more than one facet of his personality. Just like... a *gasp*... real person! Most people would see that as the writers making him three dimensional, and not merely a cartoony one-note character. You seem to have an issue with character development.

Season 4 was awesome. Just because you didn't get it, doesn't mean the scene with Rita in the bath or Trinity at the train-set were flaws.

Dexter was sweating bullets because he knew his family was in danger yes. I can't recall the amount of time the finale takes place in, but it seemed like a huge stretch that Trinity had time to find Dexter's house and either show up with Rita there or have her show up immediately after she returned back.

For the fact that it almost feels like a continuity error is what I hated about the twist, not the twist itself which I found ballsy and heart-wrenching. And I'm not disagreeing that Trinity shouldn't have had a personality, I felt the writing in the middle episodes of the season weren't focused. Here you have this badass killer who's been murdering people for like 30 years and all of the sudden he wants to randomly commit suicide? What took him so long to come to that conclusion lol

I never said anything about the train set:huh:

God forbid someone can't not like the way a huge emotional twist was handled:whatever:

JJJ Ulcer is right. Who cares if it makes sense. As long as the twist is great!

What arrogance. I like twists, love twists. But I don't like it when twists are done in a way that almost seems impractical or a huge stretch in believability.

There was nothing "impractical" about it. Rita died, get over it.

I thought the twist made sense and I really liked Rita and was upset when she died. Trinity had Dexter's name and was able to find Dexter's house and Rita came back at exactly the wrong time.

Yea even though Rita was a little annoying (I rarely get annoyed by fictional characters) I teared up bad when she died. It was seriously a hard thing to watch just because of how devastated Dexter was

Sorry, that was NotaHenchWench who moaned about the train set. No idea what he's on about. As for suicide, it's pretty clear why Trinity would kill himself. He has pretty deep-set emotional problems. You don't know his history, so who is to say it was random? He could have tried it before and been unsuccessful.

Maybe I was harsh on you, but my point remains. It also would have been a huge momentum killer in the last episode to watch Trinity as he painstakingly went through all the steps of tracking down Rita's house. There's pacing to consider in a 50 minute show.

Didn't Trinity run out of his sister when he tried to kill himself?

...what an odd sentence.

I think he had more of her still. Cause remember how the urn was refilled?

I saw that IMDB has listed the first episode of Season 5 for September 26th. Any info on the season?

I found a cool picture of Season 4:

Heard the good news that Michael is clear of Cancer!

Is Trinity going to pop up in Season 5 or do we just assume he's out restarting his cycle somewhere?

You may want to watch all the episodes of the season first.

I have, what do you mean by directing that question?

We saw him drive off to kill Rita, but then his schedule after that is a big question mark.

So, he has the possibilty to be hunted by Dexter for revenge, mainly because the Trinity vs. Dexter storyline hasn't been really concluded unless the murder of Rita was the final, "I won." by Trinity.

Errrrrr.

You realize there was a final scene between Dexter and Trinity right?

Ha. Dexter killed trinity so it's safe to assume he won't be back

You really need to rewatch that final episode, especially the last 20 minutes, no interruptions. But others are already pointing out the obvious.

And yes, Trinity "Won".

Damn, I just looked it up, wow...

I totally forgot that part. I haven't watched it since the air date, and I guess Rita's death was too much and made me forget that. Damn, I do need to re-watch that ****... Time to hit up Demonoid...
