Dexter

Next 3 episodes are going to be ****ing nuts.

Really can't wait to see how this all plays out.

When Dexter is on, it really is on.

Now at the risk of sounding like a total idiot...I got a lump in my throat when Dexter told Astor he loved her. That was a fantastic underplayed scene.

And wow, Chase has suddenly become quite a bad guy hasn't he?

I have a hunch that:

At the end of it all, Lumen will be exposed to have killing those men and be arrested. She will take the fall for Dexter because of everything he's done for her.

Maybe not though, but ther final 3 episodes look amazing!

I'm starting to think the same. It'd be a solid enough reason to write her out.

If that happens, and Debrah still doesn't figure Dexter out, she should just quit as a cop. It's a strech as it is.

Debrah dated the Ice Truck Killer.
Co-worker Doakes was the Bay Harbour butcher.
The Trinity Killer killed Dexter's wife.
And now
Dexter's new squeeze is a murderous vigilante

Either Debrah thinks the population in Miami has a 1:5 serial killer/citizen ratio, or she should suspect something is up.

I was already on edge when Jordan called, but when he said, "Take care, Lumen.", I went bananas!

This episode really has taken things to a whole new level, and I'm really excited to see how it all turns out. Between Quinn's suspicions about Dexter and Weller's character spotting him and Lumen dumping Cole's body, and more and more people discovering Dexter's involvement with Lumen, or at least discovering that they're involved in some way, Dexter really could not be more exposed right now. This is honestly worse than season two, when the police found all of his victims up to that point. To be fair, Quinn ain't sh** compared to Doakes, but the difference is that he's relying on someone who he knew full well was shady from the beginning, and now he can't control him. And he doesn't really care about whatever Dexter's up to, just so long as he can stick it to LaGuerta.

Yeah, Astor acting out was a bit of a cliché, but I loved where that led, with Dexter beating the crap out of her friend's mother's boyfriend, when he found out he was abusing her. His reaction when he thought the guy was a kidnapper was great as well, 'cause we really are seeing Dexter show some real emotion for other people.

I honestly didn't know how this season was gonna go, especially with how the last season ended, but it's really turning out very well, and I think stuff's really going to come to a head for a lot of characters.

Amazing espisode.

I also think Lumen's going to take the fall for all those murders.

Who was the girl who's blood was in the vial?

Personally I think they will blame the vigilante on Robo cop. That's the only way to get rid of his character. Next season will probably see Dex and Lumin being a real couple and killing people together.

That's the thing though, I think there will be a bit of a cliffhanger where Debra does know.

In fact...
It would be interesting if Debra finds a way to get rid of Robocop, because she is trying to protect Dexter's secret. Or maybe Quinn will find a way to get rid of him.

I think it would be interesting. Again, a small hunch.

I highly, highly doubt they're gonna kill off or write off Lumen this season. With Rita gone Dexter needs a new anchor, someone to bring him back from the abyss and thats Lumen. After losing Rita, it would just be overkill to get rid of Lumen too, plus...i like her character ALOT.

With that said, another AWESOME episode of Dexter. I tell you, when this show's on fire, its on FIRE. Assuming they dont blow it in the last 3 episodes, season 5 could easily be my favorite season.

Amazing episode - But I always get twice as excited when I see the promo.

Liddy has a camera watching Lumen and Dexter practise kill!?!?!

I'm dreading watching episode 11 because I know it'll end in such a way that I won't be able to wait a week for the final episode!

Man, i feel bummed out that next season will most likely be the final one, after watching episodes like this, i wish dexter could go on for like 10 seasons. lol

i know what you mean. it's pretty strange that we have not heard anything from Showtime regarding this show coming back for another season. it's almost as if they are going to make a big announcement later on that next year will be Dexter's last season :csad:

I don't see why though, I think Dexter has quite a large fanbase.

Well as much as i personally would love a 10 season Dexter, I also dont wanna see the show outstay its welcome. Realistically, season 6 should be the final one. Dexter's one of few shows thats had consistently excellent seasons and i'd hate to see winning streak ruined if the show ran too long. It'll be sad, but Dexter should end next year.

Amazing episode. I was right from the start that JLM is the new big villain.

After the 'Lithgow' season, I doubt it can be passed, but now it's on the right track.

The promo for the next one was great.

Dex is ****ed from all sides.

Jorden is on to him.
The Police investagate.
Robocop is tracking him.

All ****. Can't wait for next week.

Why do I have a strange feeling either Quinn or Deb will find out Dexters secret, and accept it?
I think that Lumen will die somehow by the other guy in Jordans murder click, and robocop gets pinned on the murders.

Season Six would probably be a good enough end point for the series. I can see things getting pretty ridiculous if it goes longer. We can't have any more cops undertaking rogue missions to expose Dexter just 'cause they think he's weird. We can't have any more people that Dexter confides in that he may or may not have to kill by season's end. We can't have Deb getting in another relationship that ends up getting royally screwed, etc., etc., etc.

They dont need that though, they could carry at least a season on just dexter trying to juggle between father and Dark Passenger, basically, just return to season 1 form.

The Lumen theory taking the fall, sounds pretty good but i hope it isn't true. Like you said, he needs a love interest....however, it could work with her being in jail next season. Their relationship is so non physical, that him visiting her often, behind bars, could work.

So many question left, and so little eps. They still haven't revealed who the last person in the pics is; now we have the question about the woman who's blood was in the vial. I hope it's not just some random woman, and that's she linked to one of the other characters on the show. Maybe some kin to Lumen...?

I'm still not behind the idea of Deb learning Dex's secret either....

I don't really want him and Lumen to fall for each other just yet. I like the friendship they have now. And if Stiles decides to return. Maybe build it up to something more.

Also don't want to see her die or go to jail for Dexter. I want to see her take out Jordan and have some peace after all the **** she went through.

Solid episode.

Have to commend the writers for the direction they're taking with Quinn. What at first seemed like a Doakes rethread has become so much more interesting. I think Liddy could have shown the guy video evidence of Dexter killing a victim and his reaction would have been the same as it was in this episode.

Surprisingly little happened with the main plot but it was all crucial and leads to a fascinating endgame. They have a hell of a lot to cram into those last three episodes but that makes it all the better. I regret writing off this season so early, it's certainly come into its own recently.

I would like an entire season where Luman has gone rogue, and Dex has to hunt her down and take her out, because he's crated a monster, and she's not adhering to the code. Next weeks ep looks like she's truly becoming his apprentice, and her getting a real taste for it and loving it would be an interesting angle for next season; kinda like the apprentice turning on their master angle....

Ehh, reminds me too much of season three with Miguel.
