Anybody here hopeing that Dexter never gets caught

Whenever Dexter is on the verge of being caught, like with the Bay Harbor Butcher stuff, and now with the missing garbage bags, it stresses me out. So I don't think I want him to ever get caught.

Story wise it would be interesting to see, but I wouldn't be thrilled.

I think maybe someone may find out his secret but won't turn him in. So in a way, he'll be caught but not going to jail.

It could be an interesting development if they go there.

What exactly would be interesting about it? She is going to get pissed & accuse him of cheating.

I love how the writers had him keep his apartment so they could "reveal" a secret of Dexters that has been written in to further delay Dexters actual important secret.

Does no one see the unbelievable stupidity of his keeping his apartment? It is lazy writing in my opinion.

Or a very humanly mistake of Dexter. I realy think that this apartment will have some role in the season.

I'm not sure what else he could do besides keep his apartment. Rent a storage facility just to keep all his murder gear in? Yeah, that wouldn't look a thousand times more suspicious or anything. :o

I don't think it's a mistake.

Dexter's apartment is his home, his cave. The one place he can be himself. At the house, he's stuck playing the part of Dexter the husband. But at his apartment, he can be Dexter the serial killer with no worries about Rita or the kids finding his slides.

And if she does find out about the apartment, it gives Dex time to clear out any evidence and find a new place for it.

The acceptance of Dexter's dark passenger is all about how the person finds out. The only circumstances I can see anyone possibly accepting his hobby is if they find out about his past, and take the time to hear him out. The thing I like most about Dex is everyone likes him, but that would all flip in a second if anyone actually knew.

Which is why I think Deb will find out. My current prediction is that Deb will continue to dig into Dexter's past throughout the season and the season will climax with Deb learning about Dexter's mother and maybe even Brian. But before she can confront Dex I think she will witness Lundy killed by Trinity while trying to apprehend him, she will in turn see Dex kill Trinity and become more forgiving. Like Dexter says in book 2, "She's learning to deal with it."

Alright. I will keep an open mind about it, but my lazy writing senses are tingling.

Well, what do you think is lazy about it? I honestly don't see it. It's logical that Dexter would keep a place for his murder stuff and he already has everything in the apartment. It makes sense for the character to me.

Batman gets his Batcave, why can't Dexter have his own apartment?

It'd be s**tty writing and obvious that eventually one of the kids or Rita would stumble upon his stash of beautiful knives and bloody slides. Keep it interesting. :o

yea really what else could dex do to hide his stuff? had a office at home and while the kids are playing hide n seek find some blood slides?

but what i dont get is deb...she was supposed to move in to his apartment after he moved out remember?

Yeah, she moved in with Anton instead. Remember, he says if she didn't live there, he'd never see her.

Did anyone else expect to see Astor or Cody standing in the doorway when Dexter was telling the baby that he kills people? I was totally expecting that.

I was expecting to see a baby monitor flashing (indicating that it was on)...

I want Trinity to kill Rita! I want that so mutch.

It isn't my job to write the show, but they did take the easiest road. I would like some one to explain to me where he is getting all this money to pay for 2 places?

*High Five.*:awesome:

Don't get me wrong...i love Rita's character but if Trinity kill's her, that we will se a new side of Dexter, and that's cool.

PS: And a possible scene with naked Lithgow and Benz is precious :D

He's a forensic expert. By all indications, he pretty much runs the bloodwork part of the Miami Metro forensics team. I'm sure he gets paid pretty well.

And he is Dexter! Dex is not like regular ppl, so he saves a lot of money

not to mention it's a tv show. That helps fictional characters afford things also.

Yeah. Financially he's well off. On top of doing nothing but work, Harry probably left him and Deb some money. It's not like the man has a mansion and servants.

This isn't a complaint. Just a funny observation. I find it funny that Leguerta has had sex with pretty much everybody in that office. I am going to count Dexter. Simply because she would have tapped it if she could. The only one she hasn't boned is Quinn, Deb, & Masooka.

There are however more seasons to come, so....:o

She's only been with 2 people. Doakes and Batista...that's not a lot.
