i like rita and the kids to an extent, but ive been wanting to strangle rita most of this season.

Benz is hot but her character get on my nerves abit too much. There's a clinginess to her that I don't like...

I like Rita because it shows a different side to Dexter (even if that side is fake).

I think season 3 is seeing a lot of growth from everyone. It is up to par with season 1, definitely, though they need to play up the fact there is a new serial killer out there. I hope it begins to really matter soon. I am pro-season 3 because it doesnt try to hard to have a full plot, it just has a destination. Its allowing Dexter to explore, grow, take steps backward and forward. We'll see.

I am hoping this season to show so shocking scenes that made season 1. It was gripping to see the corpse and method of killing which defined Dexter. Does he still have that inner demon and fascination with blood?

this storyline is too good to be true. Dexter actually has a friend who's on his side and isn't respulsed by what he does? I have a feeling Miguel might screw Dexter over.

Is it just me though or should this have been the story-line much sooner? Miguel as Dexter's newest "employer" so to speak.

Anyway. Amazing episode. This season was a bit slow to start but once it hit the right notes, it became some of the best stuff of the show's history.

That being said...what exactly is Miguel up to? And is the show's newfound pulpiness something special, or is that just me? Because Miguel doing what he does at episode's end is just like...DANG! Its like a great pulp story with actual heart and character development. Yet the show is really getting down to the nitty-gritty. Its crazy. Hopefully it keeps up this balance.

He gave Dexter his shirt with Freboo blood on it, I doubt he has anything sinister planned. Then again I might be wrong and it could become this huge twist.

It turns out that Ramon is the guy killing everyone connected with Freebo, eventually both Dexter and Miguel find this out and this causes them to go at each other since Dexter just can´t ignore a killer no matter who his brother is

Yep without a doubt Ramon is the killer, remember when that kid was at the station and how much detail he was paying to him. Then later on we see from someone POV that they are spying on the kid.

actually, i think he is being a brother figure...replacing Brian Moser, the ITK. watch the season 1 finale, and then watch season 3 episode 5's final scene with dex and miguel...miguel says word for word, the exact things brian said to dex... "you dont have to lie to me", "I see you", and a few other things he said are exactly the same.

god i hope so, its so freaking obvious that if thats not written into the script than the writers of this show really did take a HUGE hit when that one guy left.

i think its a whole Prado operation. Oscar was the drugdealer that freebo owed money too...Ramon is the sheriff who protects him from being arrested...and miguel is the head of the whole thing, and a 'final defense' for the 3 of them if they were caught.

think about it...Deb opened the lid on Oscar...then in the episode 6 preview Dex points her to Ramon...

my guess...Quinn is involved somehow too...the way he jumped out at Ramon was odd...it was like he/and the writers were trying to convince us they had nothing to do with eachother.

as for who the skinner is... if its Ramon or Quinn, ill be very disappointed. its just too damn obvious.
