Does anyone know the name of the reporter chick in real life, I know I've seen her somewhere else but I can't place my finger on it.

rita has gotten on my nerves this whole 4th season..i liked her the first 3 and defended her when noone else liked her but this season she's on my nerves

Rita treats Dexter like a little ****ing kid.

I think that's the point, though. She's his wife. She's the ballbusting, won't let him have "fun" wife, which is universally known.

It makes sense, story wise, I think. Make things tougher for Dex, maybe even make him wonder if he made the right choice.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Dexter had to kill her in order to keep his secret?

Would never happen. Not with Harry's code.

I mean, he didn't kill Doakes.

Dexter would NEVER kill Rita. Deep down, the guy has some feelings as much as he doesn't want to admit. He didn't kill Deb back in season 1 afterall. I think Dexter is more human than he thinks. Harry told him that he was different his whole life, of course Dexter would buy into that. And yes, I think the visions of Harry represent his Dark Passenger, not the actual Harry. I think if Harry was alive and saw Dexter had some feelings then he would encourage him to embrace them, not run away from it. Sure, Dexter is screwed up in the head but I don't think he's as screwed up as he actually thinks he is.

Agreed.

Harry did a damn good job of instilling, be it skewed or 'off', morality. The rules Dex lives by, is pretty much what keeps him from becoming something worse.

Agreed. Dexter WANTS to believe he is a monster, but the fact is, Harry did something right and salvaged some part of his humanity. It may not be normal love, but Dexter clearly feels something for Rita, Deb, and the kids.

100% with you on that.

He loves her. I think he's just so detached from everything else, that it's different. He's loved her since season 1, I think. He just didn't know it, because of how detached he is from society and most feelings.

I was thinking Lundy. He obviously had a problem with his father, and now he's got this guy who's been doggedly pursuing him for 30 years. Oppressing him, in some ways. Sort of like an overbearing parent, basically.

That might make for a powerful scene, when you think about it.

Im thinking that if any of the characters might be Trinitys male vic itll be Dex. Think about it Trinity is obviously killing people that remind him of his family. First a young woman who I would say represents his sister then the mother. I'd say next itll be a father. Lundy is to much like Trinity if you ask me. Hes a lone wolf. But to all outward appearances Dex is a new family man and father and I think thats what Trinity is going for.

Some spoilers for next episode (things are going to REALLY pick up folks)

Lundy and Trinity meet up face to face. Trinity's response: "I'm found".

At the end of the episode Rita and the kids return home early (from a wedding). Three gun shots ring out, two bodies fall.

OMFG!!! Why did you do that!!! I just simply cannot resist hitting a spoiler tag! Damnit!

He is jokeing. The ''spoiler'' is pure sci-fi.

Nope, I'm serious. Read the spoiler at your own risk.

It's a total game changer.

We have known for a while that
Trinity was going to kill a major character, but goddamn that was utterly random. This show just kicked the entire audience's ass. Wow.
