Dude's probably thinking he should get cancer more often. Sure the votes were in before the announcement. But the timing looks so odd now because of it happening after his announcement.

I'm glad he's getting the deserved attention and recognition though.

''Showtime claimed its first SAG award when Michael C. Hall ("Dexter") won as best actor in a TV drama series. Up until now the TV network seemed strongly disadvantaged at these awards because only a limited portion of the 120,000 guild members receive the pay channel at home. The win could not be the result of a sympathy vote for Hall, who has cancer and wore a knit hat to cover his baldness due to chemotherapy treatments. The disclosure that he has Hodgkin’s lymphoma was made only a week and a half ago, long after the vast majority of SAG ballots were in. "Dexter" recently experienced an outstanding TV season creativity, which ended with the shocking murder of his character's wife that was witnessed by his infant son — a plot twist that mirrored the personal back story of Dexter as a boy seeing the death of his mother years earlier''

So happy for him. It's well deserved and long overdue.

I have a feeling he timed the cancer announcement when he did just because he knew he was gonna be making red carpet appearances and wanted to avoid all the inevitable questions/comments about his head-wear.

From last night's Red Carpet -------------

I didn't see the broadcast, but I read that during his acceptance speech, Michael said, "And I especially want to thank my wife for wearing that dress!"

I am really hoping Dexter gets something from the Emmys this year.

Shame some people think Hall is winning these awards because of the cancer and not because he's seriously a ****ing awesome actor.

The fact that he announced his illness 10 days ago and the ballots were due before that, makes those people both cynical and ridiculous. If he announced it 2-3 months ago,i would have understood such an opinion, but this way it's just silly.

He's been nominated 4 years in a row both at SAG and at the Globes...after this remarkable season there was no way he would have lost it again.

Too bad SAG doesn't have a best supporting actor category so Lithgow could have taken another award :woot:

On that note Dexter has been nominated by the Writers Guild and Producers Guild as a Best Drama show....the only other show to have a PGA,WGA and SAG ensemble nominations is Mad Men.:word:

he's the new voiceover for the Dodge Charger commercials

I was eating my dinner one night and the tv was on in the next room and I heard his voice in the commercial. I immediately looked up and said "Dexter?!"

I just got done binge watching all 4 season of Dexter in like one week. This show is absolutely amazing. Every episode is fantastic. Michael C. Hall is easily one of the best actors on tv. Haha I love Masuka haha he's hilarious in every scene he's in.

Great too have a new fan of the show and yes masuka is so amazing it's REDONKLOUS!!!!

Yeah I don't have showtime so I watched the first two seasons on Netflix Instant Queue and I fell in love with it right away so I went out and bought season 3 and watched season 4 online. This show is absolutely incredible.

I'm not a big fan of Mad Men, I can see why everyone likes it but I really don't. I just finished season 4 wow what a finale, definitely didn't see that one coming oofta. Season 5 can't come any sooner.

Finsished Season 4 yesterday. Awesome Series!

Are there any comic books similar to this series you can recommend ? :O

In one of the most shocking TV moments in recent years 'Dexter' writers decided to kill off one of the main characters, Dexter's wife, Rita. Julie Benz who played Rita Morgan on the popular Showtime series has broken her silence about the characters exit from the show.

Fans of the show were shocked after watching the season 4 finale where Dexter found Rita dead in the bathtub seemingly killed by the Trinity killer. "they wanted to do a shocking ending and they really felt that it was the most shocking ending they could have," Benz told Radaronline.

"There are rumors going around, people would like to have me back as a ghost or that it was just a dream. Let me set the record straight, it was not a dream. Trinity killed Rita. No one else did. Dexter didn't kill her. She didn't commit suicide Deb didn't sneak in and do it. The Trinity Killer killed her. And, it's not a dream and as of right now there are no plans of me returning as a ghost."

Benz says that Rita's death came as a shock to her but that she doesn't believe she'll be back for season 5."I don't think it would really work for Rita to return as a ghost at this point I don't want to cheapen the impact of her death."

Fans have concocted many possible ways the story line could go in season 5. Dexter could be a major suspect in the murder of his wife. He'll have to deal with raising 3 children on his own, and how will he deal with his "dark passenger" once Rita is gone?

sEASON 4 of Mad Men or Dexter?

Mad Men sucks............. I'm sorry

Mad Men is awesome. You know it's possible to like both shows, even if they are in competition with eachother at award shows. This isn't sports. You're not choosing a "team." :whatever:

Or he could just not like Mad Men. It's possible that not everyone agrees with your opinion of something.
