Oh and please kill Quin...just please kill him. How dare he be suspicious of Dexter? Look what happened to Doakes LOL.

I'm actually leaning toward the theory that Quinn will find out, but be cool with it. The show obviously (hopefully) won't pull another Doakes-like storyline, and one of the logical ways to add a twist to it is have all this build up all season to him discovering what Dexter does but then he accepts it.

He was pissed when Dexter accidently let that guy walk last year, he might be happy to hear that the guy didn't get very far.

Definitely do it dude. Well worth it, one of the greatest shows ever!

Oh no arguement here. I love that show. I just missed most of the final season due to my work schedule at the time and never seem to get around to renting it on DVD.

Nope, they were married during the episode "Hello, Dexter Morgan". Here is a synopsis:
http://www.pajiba.com/tv_reviews/dexter-s4e11-hello-dexter-morgan-recap.php

According to that: After he witnesses them get married, he goes up and kills the truck driver, Punches the neighbor in the face that night, the next day Arthur comes to the station, that night Dex and Rita decide to go on their trip, the next morning Rita leaves and is later murdered.

They got married like 2 days before Rita's death.

Here's a recap of "The Getaway":

The writers got the continuity wrong... It's not a big deal, it just seems like a silly mistake for the people who work on the show to make (I mean, it's not LOST we're talking about here, there isn't that much to keep track of).

I was figuring it was more deliberate by the writers. It's La Guerta who is thinking this, it may not be right but that is her train of thought at the time.

Dude, DO NOT rent it....BUY it! lol Seriously, the final 6-7 episodes are just simply fantastic television. And the finale....is very fitting. The Shield is definitely on my top 5 tv shows of all time and the finale did it justice.

Eww Deb is really ****ting it up this season, [BLACKOUT]banging quinn on Dexters kitchen floor :down[/BLACKOUT]

Deb is always ****ting it up.

And I did think they'd hook up this season. I just didn't think it'd be this damn fast.

I really liked the episode. I'm happy they continued right after last season's finale, and not skip ahead a few months. It was really emotional to see the little gut wrenching moments...like Dexter telling the kids, and the cleaning of the bathroom.

Things like Dexter's monotone, cold hearted tone during the 911 call, telling the kids "I'm sorry for your loss"...and how disconnected he was for much of the episode were great. An interesting look at how buried he keeps his emotions, and really how much self control he has ultimately.

Not so bad that it's Dexter's house, and the one Rita died in.

It's bad that it was...what, like a day after she died? That was a little ****ed up.

But, Deb has always been promiscuous. I think she, Dexter, and other cops at the station have pointed it out in jokes or something. I think La Guerta even hinted at Quinn and Deb banging when he said they were at Dexter's house cleaning.

I just realized a flaw in your logic. Dexter couldn't have killed Rita because he was busy killing Trinity at the time. But Rita was killed by Trinity. So obviously Rita was killed before Dexter got to Trinity. Unless of course, one of Trinity's kids is so f**ked up by being raised by a psycho serial killer that they killed Rita while Dexter was killing their dad. That could make for an interesting twist.

Hmmmmmmm . . .

I think for the cops, there's room to wiggle. I mean, as far as I know...they can't get an exact time of death but only know it was from a certain hour to a certain hour. I think Matsuka said it was anywhere between 6 or 8 hours ago or something (I'll have to re-watch the episode). So, they'll want to know where he was for all that time in which she got killed.

So, assuming the very last thing Trinity did before making a run for it was kill Rita...and guessing that it probably took Dexter, I dunno maybe 4 hours or so to get him, kill him, dismember the body and then get rid of it...there's still a huge gap in time there where the FBI or cops could conceivably sell the idea that he killed her.

Debra obviously isn't in her right mind with this Quinn situation. It's effed up sure, but I'm not going to judge her too much for it.

Also, how many partner's has Deb had in 4 seasons, plus this episode? 6 maybe? How many years has this show spanned? Because 6 partners in say, 4 years isn't what I'd call promiscuous.

it hasn't been 4 years in the Dexterverse, could it?

It's probably closer to three now that I think about it. Maybe someone here knows for sure, I tried looking it up didn't find anything. But I'd say at least three years.

But even with 3 years, I wouldn't call her a ****.

They showed a clip from next episode on Regis and Kelly (i was only watching cause Michael C Hall was a guest) and its a scene where the police is interrogating Dexter and he almost freaks out because he thinks the police think he killed Rita. Later in the scene, the police say they know he couldn't have killed Rita, there's actually video footage to account for Dexter's wherebouts around the time she was killed but now the question is why Trinity wanted her dead.

I think its gonna be great seeing Dexter pull himself together and trying to figure out how he's going to explain his connection with Trinity.

It isn't a continuity error. It is just Leguerta being her usual selfish self. Why she is still alive is beyond me. & what Angel saw in her is beyond me as well. But whatever.

& Deb sleeping with Quinn was really the only thing that dissappointed me. It was so obvious. I was hoping they were going to go another way like Masuka.

I love how Michael C. Hall displayed a person that obviously has emotions. But just doesn't have the tools to express them. So he tries to use other peoples tools. & it just comes off fake. Also love how the writers use his lack of expressing emotion to expose how we all wear masks like the funeral director. Looking very forward to seeing him gain these tools. & go through an emotional break through of sorts. He already did with that dude in the bathroom.

I just wonder once he gets these tools. How that will affect his ability to kill. Cause even though these are bad people. He will start to see them as human. Maybe that will be the center of Season 6. Perhaps he will learn how to turn the emotional switch on & off.

Quinn is probably gonna die, because he slept with Deb. Being Debra Morgan's boyfriend is like being the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts.

Just saw the season premiere. What an emotionally draining hour. From that episode alone, I know this season is going to be a depressing one. For the first time, I kind of wish Dexter was more human especially during the scene where he tells Astor and Cody about their mom. I loved the flash back to their first date though. Even then she was understanding. The guy just walks up and leave during their date and she still calls to find out how he's doing. I miss Rita. I miss Julie Benz. :csad:

Deb didn't even really want to acknowledge it after the "event". I'm pretty sure it was just a build up of all the emotions she was going through. It seems that sex is her way of dealing with things anyway - after 4 seasons did her hooking up with Quinn really surprise anyone?

I loved the first date scene. It clearly showed that Rita saw the good in Dexter and that she has changed him for the better. He will be totally lost with her going forward as she always had a way of indirectly helping him through tough times.

I'm starting to wonder if Harry just wasn't a bad parent.

I figure Rita was just so desperate for anyone that would have her.

I'm surprised it took this long for them to hook up. I thought they would be in bed during Quinn's first episode.

I'm kind of tired of Deb f***ing her way through all of her problems. I wish they'd confront that particular character flaw and have her grow past it already.

So was last season's eye candy for the ladies Trinity? :shock

And I could have gone my entire life without seeing Quinn's ass - thank you very much.
