I saw Transformers tonight, yet i heard that the end set up the sequel with a hint at the panet sized Transformer (i think its called Galactus but im no expert so im probably wrong) did i misssomething because i never saw it (i even stayed till the end of the credits.)

The ending indicated that Starscream, the F-22 Raptor jet, leaves earth's atmosphere and is headed back to the bots home planet Cybertron.

The planet-sized bot is named Unicron. If he is introduced I can see it being at the end of the second movie, or for the third. If that many sequels are made.

Galactus is from the Fantastic Four/Silver Surfer universe.

wherever you heard that from was wrong. what you saw is what everyone else saw. there was no hint at the planet sized Transformer named Unicron. Galactus is the devourer of planets who controlled the Silver Surfer...no affiliation with Transformers what-so-ever, hehe.

The only hint of Unicron i the next movie is from what one of the writers said.

I missed this part...was this before Optimus Prime was talking on top of the cliff?

I think the scene where Starscream leaves Earth was shown during the credits

Yep...the same writers who have declined on a sequel.

So for me, whatever they have to say about the inevitable sequel is a mute point since they pretty much don't want anything to do with it.

Really!? Source? This is great news if true.
