You act like those 12 pages won't be replaced..
There was a whole lot about Inception that wasn't in the trailer...and a busy guy like Vaughn probably wouldn't have the time to dissect and watch up on Inception clips or anything..the trailers for inception have been out for a loong time how could he have missed it. lol
JP said:Just got done watching the Kick Ass making of documentary. I suggest anyone who has the movie on bluray/dvd to watch it. It really goes in depth into the production from start to finish. It shows just how passionate Vaughn is of the projects he's attached to, and how perfect he wants everything to be (which is probably why he has yet to make a mediocre film). There's no doubt that he can handle X-Men. He wrote the Kick-Ass script with Goldman in 4 weeks, and he fired his production designer the second day of shooting. He literally had to hire someone new who had 2 weeks to design the entire film. Plus, he accomplished so much with limited time and budget. I can only imagine what he can do with a major blockbuster film budget.
I am not saying the scene is going to suck now or be better either way. I am saying Vaughn shouldn't use it as a crutch and say, yeah we would have have been just as ground breaking if not for... Someone beats you to the punch, move on... stop whining and making things public. From his, "I would have made X-3 so much better," to another pointless argument that puts a bigger target on your back, actions speak louder than words as we all know. Vaughn needs to step off his high horse and stop acting like he has accomplished or earned something more than he has.
Cinematographer - A person with expertise in the art of capturing images either electronically or on film stock through the application of visual recording devices and the selection and arrangement of lighting. The chief cinematographer for a movie is called the director of photography.
Ratner has done decent work.Red Dragon IS the best film he directed. And I can't bash him too much since he helped launch Prison break,X-Men was not one of his good movies.Vaughn may be the first director to be able to match Singer.X2 and X-Men are
In my oporion the best marvel films.
that x3 quote always was annoying
easy to say you could of done better after seeing it lol
It looks like Vaughn's regular cinematographer Ben Davis is busy on another movie so Ben Seresin is the cinematographer if IMDB is to be believed.
Seresin worked on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Unstoppable which is out later this year
The guy cast and then bailed on X3 didn't he???
Plus, NOTHING Matthew Vaughn has ever made has risen above a 7/10 rating. Now, he thinks he's Spielberg? I'm looking forward to X-Men because of the source material and NOT because of this arrogant prick's direction. Maybe he can win me over but he's in a hole at this point.
This is a guy whose last three movies(Stardust, Kick-Ass, and X-Men) are all based on comic book properties and he's telling us that we're being pummeled by the "oversaturation of comic-book movies".
Look, Vaughn, just because you ain't Christopher Nolan, don't take it out on the rest of us, man.
