OK, So yesterday morning on "Fox And Friends" they have a guy on saying that the Imam running the cultural center has ties to a Saudi man that may have ties to radicals in Saudi Arabia.

The thing is that all the while they are talking about this "Man" that may have ties to radicals in Saudi Arabia and is helping to fund the Imam running the cultural center, They never say the mans name nor do they show a pic of this man. The man they was talking about is Alwaleed bin Talal, News Corp.'s largest shareholder and apparently good friends with Rupert Murdoch.

So this "Evil Man" who is funding the Imam running the cultural center is also part owner of Fox "news", But you would never know that by watching Fox.

The Daily Show did a bit about it lastnight....

So let me get this right, The guy who is part owner of Fox is also funding radicals in Saudi Arabia who may be a terrorist group?

So doesn't that make Fox a supporter of terrorist?:huh:

Like Fox says.... "Follow The Money".

Sure he is. he's got a libertarian streak but he's pretty conservative. totally capitalist.

He is a registered, and voting Libertarian....

Outspoken and true to the platform of the Libertarian party....

You called Hippie's links propaganda/bias and that you do not recognize them as a news source yet you post links to the Huffington post and other left leaning news organizations...that is my analogy of hypocrisy. If you immediately are going to discount what he posted then do not post links to sites that are biased but share your point of view...because a new site with bias is propaganda.

I believe if you look you'll see where I did respond to his posts and thoroughly explained why they were pure conjecture. you see the difference is Huffpost has 2 parts to it. Actual news articles taken from AP,Reuters etc and other sources. Celeb news/TMZ etc. Then they have pure op eds. They don't have one pretending to be the other.

LOLOL.

You do realize that "totally capitalist" is the meaning of being libertarian, right?. Libertarians are free market enthusiasts. They worship Mises, Rothbard, Rand and Hayek.

Clinton and the Republican Congress deserve blame for the housing crisis that was the result of the financial deregulation.

The Bush Administration deserves the blame for the mess at Wall Street that allowed rampant speculation.

The housing crisis didn't cause people to lose their jobs, which is part of the reason why the housing crisis started in the first place. You can also blame the fact that the Republican Congress changed the capital gains laws which aided in the increase in housing prices and to homeowner speculation.

Let's take it down a notch Hobo. Norm might be a right-leaning poster, but he's not a right-wing nutjob like the 'real american' tea party crowd.

Historically speaking I am a far right guy (though to the left of Paradoxium) and neo-conservatives are left wing. ;)

Is that what they teach you at "Real American" school?

No, but Real American schools are proof of it. Americans don't understand capitalism, they don't understand the purpose of America's founding and American's don't understand American history in general. The skewed narrative of American public schools are all stacked in favor of the US Government which is exactly what liberals want.

The housing crisis destroyed the flow of capital that businesses needed. Without money to pay for your employees, you have no choice but to either lay off your employees or completely shut down, which results in more people losing their jobs.

The car companies in particular were hit hard by the financial crisis caused by the housing market.

We're all in the same boat. What is bad for one of us is bad for all of us. If your neighbor is out of a job then he can't buy your good and services.

lots of people were hurt with the housing crash. construction workers. building material suppliers, home furnishings etc. millions affected.

That too :awesome:

The housing crash is the major cause of the economic downturn.

It's one of the contributing factors. crazy derivative markets. increased govt debt. trade imbalances. unnecessary wars. tax cuts w/o appropriate spending cuts that helped out the people at the top who didn't create jobs here with it. this country could do amazing things for it's people with it's money. instead it chooses to reward those who are willing to pay the legislators the most. and to do the bidding of big oil and the defense contractors.
we could house the homeless. feed the hungry. rebuild our crumbling infrastructure. schools, roads, new power grid. but no we have to play world police. we have to let Goldman run the Fed. We have to accept that our jobs are gone to India and all across the globe. We have to buy cheap crap from China. Trust Obey Consume. And if you want someone to blame your neighbor is a liberal, conservative, immigrant, homo, muslim wingnut. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

There were certainly other factors, but the housing crash resulting in a complete halt in the flow of capital and destroying several financial institutions was by far the biggest.

I don't know if you can separate the housing market from the derivative market in this regard. The reason the housing market crashed is, I think, the inability of the ratings agencies to keep up with the increasingly esoteric financial instruments, especially in the housing market, and be able to rate the risk appropriately. If the loans, bonds, etc. had been properly assessed I'm not sure there would have been buyers and that would not have allowed the bubble to grow as big as it did.

Apparently Fox News.com had a "review" post about the rally...that is going to happen tomorrow. Its since been taken down.

Sometimes I wish the red states had their own country and the blue states had our own country.

I share nothing in common with people who "rock out" to that childish video.

What are all these people so made about? Because Obama raised taxes on the middle class by how much?

That was as lame as those Obama music videos during the election.

I'll be very curious to see how many actually turn out for Glenn Beck's NONPARTISAN 'Restore Honor...with special keynote speaker Sarah Palin' event.
