🇺🇸 Discussion: General Election 2024, 🥥 VS 🍊

US News
exit polls: no college | non-college graduate
2024 (57% electorate share): Trump 56% (R+14)
2020 (59%): Trump 50% (R+2)
2016 (50%): Trump 51% (R+7)
2012 (53%): Obama 51% (D+4)

So Democrats are increasingly falling behind with non-college graduate voters, especially non-white non-college or non-white non-college graduate voters. And they make up the majority of all voters.
aka non-educated.

I just hope that over these next four years, Trump, even with all of his power and influence, screws up so royally a lot of his base finally become so disillusioned with him, or at the very least get very tired of and fed up with his nonsense, and renounce MAGA, and the Democratic Party stops playing the blame game and does a lot of soul-searching and re-examination and is galvanized to get its act together. Taking advantage of the inevitable mess Trump will create by reaching out to the working class and really laying out and detailing policies and solutions to help the economy would really go a long way in gaining everyone’s trust and goodwill.

Too much to hope and ask for? Probably, but if the Democratic Party wants to get people on board, there needs to be some changes. Maybe this loss is the kick in the a** they needed to finally motivate them.

I hope you're right and the Democrats get their stuff together. But their losses this year were pretty similar to 2016 (lost the White House, Senate and House of Representatives) and it seems they still haven't learned anything.

But I guess we'll see how things play out over the next 4 years. :(

She already conceded defeat, no effort will be made for a recount, even with odd comments from Elon Musk saying its very easy to change codes in voting machines that would go undetected and even be accurate when tested before and after an election, which seems odd that the richest guy in the world and massive trump backer suddenly is saying how easy it is to rig an election, especially after the head of project 2025 said a few months ago the plan to get trump back in was in motion in ways we could not see, again, it might be nothing just some odd comments.

Wanted to share a condensed version of a larger post I'm working up for Dailykos and some other sites, wanted to get all your opinions and point out any flaws in the logic

*I should state that I generally hate conspiracy theories and don't want to go down that rabbit hole, but something felt very not right about this election*

This came about from a Reddit thread that popped up on my feed:

Some of the points made above:
-Dems won Senate seats in 5 of 6 swing state elections
-Swing state # 7: Dems won NC Governor, AG, and multiple downballot races
-Harris lost every single one of these same states... ? So people voted down the line for all the dems, and then said "Nah I'll vote for Trump"?
-Trump's biggest lead in swing states was on ballots that only had votes for president, and no downballot votes

-Trump stated out loud "I don't need your votes, I have the votes..." and that people would "never have to vote again"
-Elon Musk talked on multiple occasions about how easy it would be to rig the election
-Elon's Starlink "assisted with communications" from tabulation machines in several swing states
-A (alleged) counterhacking expert states how easy it would be to affect tabulation machines with a time-restricted hack that would make the machines look like they were functioning properly ahead of time, with the tabulations only being changed during the voting period.

Other evidence:
-Kamala raised a billion dollars (cue Dr. Evil meme) in 3 months
-Had a massive ground game advantage
-Had packed rallies full of enthusiastic supporters
-Trump's rallies were half full over the past several weeks, with attendees walking out mid-speech
-Ballot initiatives for abortion rights won in every state (except Florida because of the 60% threshold)
-These initiatives usually match up with higher dem turnout, as in 2022 when the "Red Wave" failed to materialize
-People were waiting hours in line to vote, and yet, millions fewer people voted this time around...?

Trump's people voted the same they did in 2020, but Kamala got probably around 10 million less votes than Biden??
None of it makes sense. Like I said I hate Conspiracy Theories, but how was any of this possible...

Maybe people look for straws to grasp, but im too one who questions these elections.
Something feels off about this.
I cant put my finger on it, but stuff like that the bomb threats arent a bigger deal or how little gleefull Trump is.
Stuff like the money Harris raised and that the Rallies were full while Trump at the end was holding rallies at almost empty places.
Suddenly he won so decisive?
Or that People voted on Abortion rights for Democrats but then Trump for president? Does that makes sense?

I dont know, maybe the explenation is simple and this is grasping straws, but i cant help but feel that something is not right with those elections.
I do think a by hand recount and stuff, should be the minimum...especially considering the steps Republicans took when Trump lost.
Its only fair to check, considering the suspicious way Trump, Musk etc talked.

MAGA remains, Vance takes over...I see nothing good coming our way without a mid term blue wave.

Nope. Trump is in there firmly. He won't be ousted by a recount.
